I'm not sure if this subject has been previously mentioned but is this the first season that Coventry, Luton & Carlisle have been in same division since 1975 when all three clubs were in Division 1 [now Premiership]?
Also interestingly this is the first season that FGR, Grimsby, Lincoln and Cheltenham have all been in the same division since the 2015/16 season.

And three of those will still be in the same division next season.

I'll leave you to work out which one wont be....:bdick:

Two years [2016] is a lot less than the 43 years [1975] of original post.

We are going to be losing both Flynn Downes (England Under 19) and Luke Gambin (Malta) to internationals coming up

Neither you would describe as critical, as we have depth in both positions, although its a little disappointing. Downes has been impressive in general but the last few games have passed him by a a bit so taking him out might not be too bad a thing.

Gambin, is more frustrating as he has looked impressive but a mixture of injury and international call ups have really impacted his time here. He was on the verge I think of getting a decent run in the side but this will put a stop to that I think.

Do we think all the games will be on this weekend? Lots of rain and the Beast returning, so...

Looks like it's arriving too late to affect most games I think. Not dropping below freezing in Crewe overnight tomorrow, so we should be fine. Not sure how the rest of the league is looking though.

We haven't really got any rain, supposed to be dry all day tomorrow and 11 degrees... then drops to 0/1 degree for all of the weekend with light snow throughout before climbing straight back up again Monday and Tuesday. Would be stunned if there was any issue at all here.

Gambin has friendlies v Luxembourg and Finland to look forward to.

In the Autumn, on one international week he couldn't even get off the bench. He's one of their few full timers - I mean, seriously?!

Anyone know if there is set criteria for games being postponed due to international call-ups? I doubt Luton's game will be off for 2 players but ours at Accrington already has been postponed because we've got 5 out playing for their countries. Maybe it depends on the depth of the squad and how much impact it would have?

Shit first half for Vale, Stevenage scored early and haven’t changed since Westley...

Although how we didn’t get a penalty and a red card for a clearence of the line by their lads arm I don’t know!

Heavy snow might save us

I don’t get why we’ve gone with the same team as Tuesday again. I’m concerned that Aspo is deluding himself into thinking we were actually any good then.

I’m concerned that Aspin genuinely thinks that Pugh and Tonge are a good central midfield partnership.

Bothers me that he has his favourites regardless of how shit they are: Davis, Smith, Tonge, Pugh..

Will the FL please for the love of god make it three down three up? Thanks.

^this doesn't mean I'd like Vale or Grimsby or any other side go down. I just can't stand poor sides taking the piss out of their supporters, with their only ambition being one of not going down.

We deserve to go down. I can’t believe how bad we are.

I wouldn’t be against Aspin being sacked and replaced with somebody with league experience that can grind out the required results to keep us up, which wouldn’t be that hard because everybody below us is also fucking shit.

What a bizarre league this is.

Good comeback to level it up 2-2. Really need to try and force a winner now though.

Good to see Hannant on the scoresheet. He has done alright since joining us.

Great 3 points away at an in form Cambridge side. Phil Brown football genius!

Well deserved too. TBH, I couldn't see why you lot were up there when you beat us at the County Ground - I thought you were poor and looked every bit like a proper mid table side - but today was another matter entirely and I can see why you've got a great away record. If only your home form was better you'd be up there with the top 3/4.

Hanging on in there, I suppose. Trying to see which 2 teams we can overtake to get in the playoffs. Weird thing is, win our game in hand and we’re only 3 points of the autos.

TBH, some really bang average sides this season.

Cheers. Presumably because David Flitcroft has the tactical awareness of a used tampon and Phil Brown is the messiah

Hopefully he can sort out the home form
And we can end the season strongly.

It’s been a real effort getting to the CG this season, the football on show has been pitiful.

As long as we do what we do and put a run together we will surely be in the play-offs. What a difference a good win makes!

Are we still in with autos do you think?

Think there are too many sides between us and 3rd for all of them to mess it up. Be disappointed not to make the play offs, though.

A good comeback today which shows that we have enough in the team to survive. Will we ever win again though?

So Jake Jervis has been with us since deadline day.

So far, he's cost us £18,000 per shot on goal; none of which have been in his last 4 appearances. Not one has been on target.

Signing of the year.
