I've got a feeling that we'll slip up tomorrow. Home games are always harder and with our state of a pitch and the type of players Morecambe have. I can easily see them picking up at least a point.

Late dash from Exeter, on a great run of form and on the edge of the Play Offs.

Town now very well placed on 80 points to secure automatic promotion.

Unfortunately we're now without Connor Goldson and Ryan Woods for the game at Bury, and the game against Exeter before that, so nothing can be taken for granted with a few points still needed.

Avoiding defeat at Bury in eight days time would make it difficult for them to catch us given our superior goal difference. The Exeter game now looks tricky given who we have missing and their decent current form.

So it's over to Burton and Wycombe where anything other than a home win will suit Town nicely.

Huge run in for us now. A month ago looked impossible, now there is a tantalising glimmer of hope.

I think we will scrape into the last play-off spot then implode in the first leg. No doubt to the slimeballs from down the road.

Ten points clear of fourth place at this stage of the season is a very nice position to be in.

For me that's shrewsbury and Burton promoted. 10 (may as well say 11 with GD) points and only a maximum of 18 left for Bury, they can only catch wycombe imo.

Not quite. If they win and Bury lose the gap will be 14 points but Bury will have 5 games left to play.

It is looking good for the Brewers and Shrewsbury, with Wycombe and Bury to scrap it out over the remaining place.
Wycombe are still in the driving seat with the points on the board already.

I think our squad will just about be strong enough to cope with Woods and Goldson's 2 match suspensions but I foresee a change in formation going 4 at the back, Clarke to come in for Woods and Akpro to be pushed wide!

Can't believe we find ourselves in 6th place given our inability to pick up points recently, we've been poor for a huge chunk of the season too.

Big set of matches on Saturday:

Luton v Burton
Newport v Bury
Shrewsbury v Exeter
Stevenage v Northampton

Can't see us winning for some reason, if we could would all but end Northampton's hopes of getting into the play-offs.

I think we'll struggle to beat in form Exeter on Saturday - however 5 wins on the bounce have fortunately given us a bit of breathing space. The pressure is really on Bury to win pretty much all their remaining games - and looking at their fixtures there are some really tricky ones. I can't see them getting maximum points from Newport (a), us (h), Pompey (a) and Southend (h)

Vale need to stay up, its the only Staffordshire derby in the football league. I know its really tight at the wrong end of league one and looks like a bit of a lottery, do you think Vale will stay up ?
We aren't mathematically up yet but if we do get up it would give us some fantastic local and localish games, Chesterfield, Coventry, Crewe, Sheff Utd, Barnsley, Doncaster, Vale, Walsall, Shrewsbury plus not long trips to Bradford, Oldham, Peterborough, Rochdale, Scunthorpe,

Honestly I don't know where our next point is coming from, let alone win. I could see it going down to the last day with 4 or 5 teams still in it for 2 or even 3 places.

Would love to see Burton promoted. Got a soft spot for you lot. Remember when I was around 11 my Dad was doing some work out that way and I went with him. Used to love visiting football grounds when I was younger so he took me to have a look at yours. Remember thinking it was decent for a non league club.

Hate Shrewsbury but it's always a feisty affair when we play them so would love to see them come back up.

I want Bury to come up so we can outnumber them at their own ground...again.
