Hartlepools next 2 home games are Mansfield and Cambridge. If they can win them both which is likely imo, they'll stay up. They then go to Newport which is a place they can pick points up.

Anything at Oxford tomorrow night will be a bonus.

I now expect Hartlepool to overtake us by mid April. They'll leave it late to over take the team they'll beat to 3rd bottom, but they'll do imo, especially if we're already down by the time they visit us on the final day.

I don't think Hartlepool will stay up, but I hope they continue to make a good fist of it. Cambridge will be an interesting one for them, as their most influential player at the moment seems to be Ryan Bird, and where is he on loan from...

Sort of reminds me of Barnet the year they went down. Had a god awful start and then gradually picked up, but it was too late by the end and they went down on goal difference ;)

It was about time aswell. Now I wouldn't be against there return to this league just as it will be a new ground for me now!

A lot of people keep saying Tranmere are gonna pull away, but their own fans seem to believe they're going down.

People are obviously looking at our squad and thinking there is no way they should go down but we have watched them over the last few weeks and seen a group of players who have no team spirit, leadership or the heart for the fight needed to keep us up. Don`t get me wrong there are players in the squad like Danny Holmes, Jason Koumas, and Iain Hume who are Tranmere through and through but there many (and not just the loanees) that are only here for a wage packet and their lack of effort recently show that all too well. Micky Adams in his latest press conference gives all the impression of a beaten man and that is now how most of us feel. The atmosphere at the home games is now none existant and I`m pretty certain it is only a matter of time before it turns extremely nasty towards quite a few of our players as the fans understandable frustration rises to the top. At the beginning of 2013 we won at Brentford to go top of League One and have now won 23 games in the 100 matches since. If there is a club in the entire league with a record that bad I`d love to know who it is. And the worst thing of the lot is that the new owner, his wife and the new commercial manager have been working their socks off getting sponsorship deals, commercial partnerships etc set up and off the pitch the club is looking as good as it has for many a long year and when, not if, we go down all their hard work will be for nothing. It really is not a good time to support Tranmere, believe me.

Everyone check Cheltenham out, going 2-1 up after being 1-0 down, very hipster.

Tranmere and Hartlepool winning, Cheltenham drawing, only York losing. Tonight would be a bad time for us to lose (should say, will be)

I repeat. Hartlepool WILL stay up.

It will be interesting if Tranmere hold on for the win, they could then go on this run that I've been talking about in this thread.

York or Cheltenham for the second bottom spot to join Carlisle in the vanarama next season.

Still think Hartlepool will go down, joined by Cheltenham or York. Think Pompey will beat Chelts tonight, but think York might get at least a point, with Tranmere holding on to win, and Hartlepool to draw.

As things stand, I think we're 5th bottom. Not bad, but depends if we can hold on to a point at Northampton.

If things stay the same in other matches, a defeat for us tonight will put us in the relegation zone with Hartlepool only 4 points behind us.

And to think Moore applied for our job and we gave it to this clown.

To be fair, on our forums while we were managerless it looked almost like the board would have a major fan revolt on their hands had they appointed Moore

Hartlepool's next 2 fixtures...

Mansfield H
Cambridge H

Off the back of 2 away wins.
I think it's highly unlikely that they'll still be bottom in a couple of weeks time.

Yeah when McDonald was wanting the job. Moore or McDonald? McDonald every day for me and most other cufc fans.

But this appointment has been a disaster. Arguably worse than Kavanagh (only time will tell I guess). I'd settle for him equalling kav's third bottom achievement of last season.

Fucks sake. Everything was looking quite positive five minutes ago, now Carlisle have scored and Cambridge have equalised. Just waiting for the inevitable second from Cambridge.

A Pompey goal would be good for the nerves.
