It's still going to take a lot of improbable results for you to be relegated a game early, Tranmere could very easily lose the next 2 , let's say for arguments sake you get one point from 2 games that's 5 clear with 3 to go

I doubt that will happen, the FL won't want to return to the tinpot days of teams finishing in the relegation places and getting a reprieve, they'll get together with Barnet and work something out I'm sure.
Weren't they threatened by the FL when they came up last time, something about their hill of a pitch?

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Cheltenham to survive on a technicality please, and maybe keep Carlisle as their fans probably account for 50% of all League Two postings.

to be fair 30% of them 50% of L2 posts are HG predicting that the Titanic is sinking and all the lifeboats have gone and we're all going to die, while the other 20% are the rest of us Carlisle fans also predicting that the Titanic is sinking, but that we've a couple of lifeboats yet to catch if we can just shove afew women and children out the way to get to them.

Maybe, but that was at Underhill
Yeah that's my point, they got let off with it then. So if they don't meet the requirements with the hive, they'll get let off with it again.

Let's say (hypothetically) we survive this season, have a good summer and are in the automatic promotion places next season. Either we'll all become deathly silent... or we'll be absolutely unbearable and hated by the rest of L2.

I'll be all over every thread celebrating, so i'd say the latter. Not gonna happen though.

That would be amazing either way. If only hey!!

Best we can hope for is we're top of the conference sand either silent or unbearable and hated by the rest of non league.

This thread is quite spectacular from a fan just on the outside - I didn't dare come in here when the possibility was strongly realistic. I've never seen so much depression posted in one place. Maybe some counselling would help you all?

As a thought, the bottom half of this division is all pretty shit but we can't all be relegated. How about a little faith to lift the spirits?

Put on that George Michael CD chaps, let's have a party.

How about you let us beat you in a few weeks and we'll all get you a beer?

It was/is my comfort blanket and antidote to our mad panicking messageboard since I got back from hols, having missed the Portsmouth and York debacles. I think I'll stick around. In the understandable absence of much interest from Cheltenham, at least 60% of the posters on here are going to cheer up at some stage - although perhaps a few of us are incapable of that mood swing.

Well it's like all the bookies have us at 33/1 to go down. In essence, it would take a massive swing in form, fortune and results for us to go down, but it is entirely possible.

Until you get that win like you had on Saturday to take you upto 47 or 48 you are going to be nervous as hell.

Realistically we need 3 points from 15, but when you've lost your last 4 it does play on your mind a little

Get in!! That's amazing. So it's like what the Scottish football league used to be, no league to be relegated into even if you finish on zero points.

I'd say you only need 2 more points, can't see Tranmere getting the required 2 wins and a draw to hit even 46 points, nor can I see Cheltenham getting 3 wins, so i'd say 47 will be the magic number this year. If you don't hit that at this stage then you deserve to go down.

I would've thought the complete opposite, wouldn't he want to send them down seeing as they didn't even hesitate to sack him when the betting allegations came out?
Ronnie Moore is good mates with our current co-chairman, Mark Palios, they roomed together as players. If Pools were safe, but a win for them could keep Rovers up, he certainly wouldn't instruct them to hold back.

All this is likely to prove academic as on current form Rovers will be already relegated by then.

Relegated at Plymouth is my prediction. Better than getting sent down by Ryan Lowe and co anyway.

He was never going to score anywhere near 30 goals for us or anyone else. I've been a bit disappointed in him but maybe I have high expectations from when he was last with us. Picked up a few injuries too. Handy player to have in the squad tho.

A hard worker, and a great motivator.

He's not had the best service in truth.. give him a chance he'll take it, he's a natural finisher.

He's only started around 10 games

Can we have a frank and honest discussion on the subject of 'what forfeit should HG have to do if Carlisle stay up?'. It's sorely needed.
Waste of time. You might as well say 'what forfeit should HG do if Carlisle win the Champions League within the next 10 years?'

Finally :) thought that comment had been missed.

So since it's only our own time we're wasting... what should HG do should Carlisle survive? Might create a new thread for this.

I'd propose a change in profile picture for a year to something vaguely amusing chosen by the league 2 fraternity on here.
