We've signed Brian Saah on a one-month loan from Dagenham. Can any Daggers comment on what he's like?

Fortunately the talk of Keane playing at left back didn't materialise, adds real competition to the central midfield places, just a shame he's somehow managed to amass 9 yellows during his spell at Crawley - can't see him lasting a month without picking up a yellow so a 2 match ban looks to be on the horizon!

We had him a few years ago. One of those players who you see first game and think "he's class" but then he just deteriorates into a bang average centre half with a mistake or two in him. Sorry but "meh" I'm afraid.

Burton Albion have signed 21 year old Callum Reilly on loan for the rest of the season from Birmingham City, that's adds to Florent Cuvelier from Sheffield United. Looks like Albion's previous managers are trying to help out the Brewers get promotion.

Central midfield.

Dave, we're down anyways. We could sign Cristiano Ronaldo to play left wing for us and it still wouldn't be enough to carry this shower of shite over the line.

I don't think we were down we just needed a couple of players to add better width and balance a left winger being vital and possibly a new right back as current one is horrific

a new central midfielder adds and changes absolutely nothing so is a complete worthless addition in my view and has wasted vital transfer money;

I agree it is a waste of time, unless of course he's a massive improvement on our existing midfielders.

I thought when we offloaded Robson we'd be bringing in a replacement, otherwise we might as well have kept him.

The only realistic option there at the moment is playing Brough on the left, at least he can deliver a decent cross.

You'll be pleased to know that Curle has said in today's press conference that he's close to signing a left winger and hopes it will be done in time for the weekends game

Just stick Brough there! At least he'll care and we'll be developing our own player, and it's not as if he hasn't shown he's capable. Miles better than Grainger at left back at the moment but you just know he won't play there, Curle's far too focused on 'leadership' to realise that Grainger's actually crap.

Tbf Jason Kennedy is a decent signing at this level. Wouldn't have minded him at Bury.

Yeah i'm pretty happy with it tbh, can't be much worse than Griffith who makes tackles here and there and then gives the ball straight back to the opposition. Hopefully he slots straight in as our defensive minded midfielder next to Dempsey who always flourishes when playing with someone who's willing to do more of the dirty work.

Give him a run of games down the left hand side and he will set up goals.

Not the quickest but has a great left foot, good set piece taker and will pop up in the box now and then.

Don't think he pulled up any trees at Pompey but he's done a job for us in League One.

Manage him correctly and he will do a very good job for you, can't do 90mins much these days and is injury prone, but use him right and he will score and make goals.

From Sheffield United? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Indeed from Sheffield United. He was on loan at York, but the blades have recalled him so that we can take him. Assuming we are covering more/all of his wages.

Raphael Spiegel has been sent back to West Ham having started three games before being consigned to the bench.

It was quite funny to be honest if it weren't so tragic. We have a keeper who has suspect kicking so to solve the problem we bring in a keeper with even more suspect kicking. To be fair it possibly did solve the problem as after a few games sat on the bench watching Spiegel kick it out of play, Hanford's kicking seems to have impoved. In any case, Gillespie is fit enough now to at least go on the bench so that is why Spiegel is no longer required.

Apparently it was Neil McDonald who recommended him to us. He must have pissed himself laughing at that one.

But how is Spiegel at a premier league club? That's the real mystery of it all.
