Gutting to lose him. A box to box midfielder who works tirelessly in midfield, has great fitness and energy levels. Pops up with the odd goal as well.

Prone to alot of yellow cards though as he likes to "take one for the team" as they say but making alot of late last man tackles to break play up.

Looks like he asked to leave, after last season I don't blame him to be honest. I think its more to do with the behind the scenes stuff as well.

To be honest, I don't think DC was enamoured by Dawson like some of our supporters were. His attitude couldn't be questioned, but perhaps DC thinks he can get someone more consistent with a bit of experience, because we lack that in our current wide men. I think it's safe to say he won't be signing for us unless we miss out on several other wingers.

I liked him and wouldn't be against him joining, but I am more than happy to trust the manager on this one. With Ajala, Bodin and Myrie-Williams on trial we have a few other options, which is good to know.

I totally agree about trusting dc , he's earnt that . I was just concerned about whether not signing Dawson was down to finances but if it's just that dc doesn't want him , fair enough and we move on .

We will desperately struggle this year, just like the good old times from 1995-2006 in this division when I first started going.

When you went to games to watch a circus act rather than a game of football!

Of those 11 years only 3 of those seasons we finished top 7.

2 of those seasons were midtable, 6 of those we were desperately, desperately woeful and to be honest you went to laugh at us more than anything.

Those days are coming back!
