Was that Flack hat trick against Cambridge? He always seemed to score against us.

Flack wasn't really a footballer... City legend, heavyweight boxer, stand-up comedian. Never a footballer.

I see he's pretending to be a builder these days.

Morecambe have sold Jack Redshaw to Blackpool.

Blackpool seem be spending a bit of money on League 2 players.

No-one else is desperate enough to go there I imagine. Absolute shambles of a club currently.

Anthony Griffith has left Carlisle United by mutual consent.

He wasn't very good.

He did a job I think for the month or so that we used him because we were a bit desperate for someone who would offer the defence some protection, but we were always looking for someone with more of an all-round game.

Redshaw sold for around £180K apparently, about time he made the step up after turning down Peterborough last summer. If he gets decent service, he'll score goals.

We now badly need a striker after letting go 2 who scored double figures last season, whether the club actually uses the money on transfer funds reminds to be seen.

I thought 450k was daylight robbery, but now it's rumoured to be 300k.

If we have any sense, surely we'll have a high sell-on clause.

Massive shame, he's destined for great things, shame it's not with us.

We've parted company with the majority of the trialists we had last week, but it does suggest our interest is increasing in the three remaining trailists, Kevin Osei (who scored yesterday), Joe Thompson and Nicky Walker (who joined the club on trial for this game)

I'm sure we decided we've no need for sell-on clauses now we have an decillionaire about to buy the club.

Someone on our forum reckons we are signing Ben Davies from Sheff Utd. Don't know how legit this is but he was pretty definite.

Davies was 100% in for talks about 2 weeks ago. Not sure on him myself, We have a lot of central midfielders and Davies tends to play there these days.

Wycombe have signed Michael Harriman from QPR on loan until the end of January, he was on loan at Wycombe 2 seasons ago and impressed in defence so i'm well pleased to have him back.

As above he's at the very least held discussions with the club, I think he's going to be our next signing.

I was more impressed with him going forward than defensively. Could be a bit dozy and switch off. Remember against Plymouth and Southend he allowed Reid and Corr uncontested headed chances because he didn't realise they were behind him.

Feel a bit sorry for the lad. Clearly wanted to come to us but QPR put a ridiculous price tag on him and prced him out of a move. Had to sign a new contract and has ended up out on loan again. Should be a good signing for Wycombe.

Yeah I liked Harriman, good signing for Wycombe.

Feel like QPR are messing with his career though, he needs a permanent home rather than constant loans I feel, he's clearly never going to make it there but they more or less held him to ransom to sign a new contract.

Good signing for Wycombe definitely, but sorry, he'd rather be somewhere else.

QPR are messing him around, but he didn't have to sign for them originally. I find it hard to sympathise with someone potentially earning £40-50k+ at 21yo.

Ainsworth is talking up the fact he can play in various positions, we're pretty much covered in defence it's a decent midfielder that we need the most to give us a chance of another good season.

Dempsey to Huddersfield confirmed.

Seems like it was probably mismanaged by our club (as most things) he signed a new contract a few months ago and everything looked rosy. As little as a couple of weeks ago Curle said he was our star player and he was building the squad around him. At the time we didn't know there was a buy-out clause... I wonder if even Curle knew, would seem about right if after letting Curle plan the first half of the summer around having Dempsey in the squad next year, they would say to him just in the last couple of days 'oh there's a buy-out clause so he might leave'.

What positions does Ainsworth see him playing? We saw him exclusively at right back/right wing back on occasion. He's quick and decent on the ball, for me his crossing isn't good enough to be a super viable option further up the pitch though.

He doesn't actually say where, i read the article again and he just says " Michael can play in various positions" Right back is covered by Sido Jombarti so will be interesting to see where he plays.

This is one of those moments as a supporter that you could actually just cry. I don't blame Dempsey for leaving our circus of a club but it's so gutting to see the back of him all the same. Glad that he's got a good move for himself though and hope he does well up there, after all he is pretty much the only reason we're still a league club.

Is there a limit League 2 players can be sold/bought for?
Matt Grimes went to Swansea for £1.75m in January, similar to Dempsey, though probably better.
And considering he's only 19, and shone so well in such a shite team last season, there's obviously potential.
It's no coincidence a number of Championship clubs were after him for that price.
