Hmm, I’m not sure. Looking purely at his stats, you can see that there’s a player in there somewhere - certainly appears to have decent pedigree.

I suppose it’ll all depend on how else comes in.
Hopefully another striker to come

How Angol has managed to stay in the league, nevermind with Bradford, weird one that.

He would probably be decent if he could be arsed, atleast that’s how he comes across on the pitch.

In Angols 2 seasons with us he spent around 9 months out injured - did one hamstring in September 2019 and out for around 8 weeks before coming back.

Then last season he injured the same hamstring around the same period in the season - Out for 2 months. Then came back again, then at the end of January tore another hamstring and missed the rest of the season. Scored his only goal last season against Adams Morecambe team.

Talented, decent ability and can hold the ball up. But isn’t the sort of player a crowd will like and take to, because he is lazy and simply won’t work hard enough for the teams cause.

Scored 6 goals in each of his pre seasons with us though.

Sounds almost word for word what I would write should someone in our league sign Zeli Ismail who we’ve just let go.

He is no James Alabi. People give him money to play (or not) for them. His agent must be a genius.

Let’s be clear, Adams got a tune out of Kelvin Mellor and Nat Knight-Percival - hell, they even got promoted.

Turning Angol into a decent fringe player, whose club is gunning for promotion sounds like a breeze in comparison.

I just hope for your boys sake his hamstrings have fully healed themselves - he never really got going with us as he was always injured.

Would be a good signing for Brizzle. Would have loved him here, but we don’t seem to sign players, so hey ho.

I liked him. Always worked hard, good in the air and not the worst with the ball at his feet. Not exactly prolific but a more than handy League 2 forward.

Funny with Aaron, never quite happened for him under Cooper then Jimmy Ball seemed to have got him going in those last few games so would have been interesting to see if Edwards could achieve the same, but as it stands more a loss of potential than an actual stand-out over the season, because he's clearly got it but we only saw it in bursts.

When he left us and went to morcambe he started to find a bit of form, then when he joined you i thought he would finally start to reach his potential, but alas it was not to be which is a shame as there is a very good player in there somewhere, luckily for us we have his younger brother on a two year contract who i think will reach a higher standard than Aaron judging by the way he finished last season.

Good luck with Liam can pull of a great save one minute then commit a complete howler the next lost his place to Jack Rose for the latter part of the season so cant say i am shocked.

Not wishing to piss on your chips, but he’s not for me. Puts a shift in, but he’s not really a central striker or a wide man. Difficult to know what suits him.

I think Hallam was a player that would split the room. I think for a league 2 striker he wasn't bad. We tended to play him wide left a lot which he was OK at. Good in the air, not a bad target man. I think you could do a lot worse.

I personally thought he would have been an asset in league 2 for us but in all honesty he probably wanted to move closer to home and we are skint anyway.

Zach Clough to Carlisle. Is this another player going down the Marcus Maddison route of football career obscurity?

I’ve never really considered him to be much cop, barring his initial Bolton days - injury prone to boot.

£3 million signing back in the day. But clearly he hit a purple patch at the start of his career. Seen it happen before with the likes of Freddy Eastwood, Liam Dickinson and Luke James to name three such players. Seems to have lots of injuries and just hasn't shaken off the rust. Must be his last chance in the league before non league comes calling so he better shape up quickly!

If Clough gets even close to the form he showed when he broke through for us originally he’ll be one of the best players in the league next season but like people have said above he’s very injury prone. Not sure he suits the beech style but if he stays fit and gets a run of games it could be a great signing.

Maybe we've got a few cards up our sleeves, but this really feels like the most uninspired transfer window we've ever had. I know expectations never match the reality, but I've never seen such universal negative feedback about our signings, with the exception of this lad because he's never played. Coupled with a manager with zero leage expierence, I do feel like this could be a really bad season for us.

That said, plently of amazing signings have been rubbish, and some of our best players turned up with zero fanfare.
