On paper, that's a great signing. I reckon that's our squad more or less done bar a loan or two. Still a question over who plays left-back, but I reckon it's looking more and more likely that it'll be a 5-3-2.

Grayson in his interview said he plays 50% of his games in defence - at left back.

It would mean we're possibly still a midfielder short. I'm intrigued to see where Brough plays next season, as he's clearly better further forward.

Sure, fire your team mates up and your fans, they just equalised in the 95th minute of a final, adrenaline must've been overflowing, it was his antics at the penalties 30 minutes later that pissed everyone off, shit talking our players walking up to take them, still talking shit on his line, it's apart of the game to unsettle the oppo, I get it, but when you end up on the losing side after it, your fair game for abuse.
Let it go man, you won :gr: ;)

2 year deal for Rides…..

He’ll slog it out with Matty Foulds for the LB position, then.

Looks like we're gonna miss out on Luke Armstrong, Harrogate are seemingly going to spunk their wad on him, would've loved to have him back here but he is on mega Salford wages, we were paying 50% of them during his loan and he was still on double what our contracted players were on.

Squad shaping up quite well, with another 4/5 yet to sign

Goalkeepers:
Richard O’Donnell, Sam Hornby

Defenders:
Paudie O’Connor, Oscar Threlkeld, Niall Canavan, Liam Ridehalgh, Reece Staunton, Matty Foulds, Finn Cousin-Dawson, Jorge Sikora

Midfielders:
Callum Cooke, Elliott Watt, Charles Vernham, Gareth Evans, Oli Crankshaw, Levi Sutton, Kian Scales

Attackers:
Andy Cook, Abo Eisa, Lee Angol

We’re lacking in attacking options, and we need a thunder bastard in midfield - who I expect to be Yann Songo’o if/when he’s announced.

We’re linked with Connor McAleny still and young forward Danilo Orsi-Dadomo.

We’ve been linked to Danilo Orsi too but I think that’s down to the fact we signed his mate Josh Coley a couple of weeks ago. Looks a good player though and will end up in L2 next season.

Liam Ridehalgh becomes the Bantams 5th summer signing.
He will save a fortune in petrol money after driving from Huddersfield for training and games for 8 years, or we will on travel expenses.
Wish him well. Apart from twice.

We’re now looking at buying/signing Northampton striker Harry Smith.

Always thought he was a handful to play against, goal record not great though.

Jackett wants a target man striker.

Hmmmmm this would be a meh signing, would be a meh reaction if he stayed too.
Could be useful I think but he’s not really a target man even though he’s 8ft tall.

We definitely need an enforcer such as Songo'o or someone similar as our midfield looks lightweight.

McAleny would be a great signing but reckon we are 3rd in the queue behind Salford and Tranmere. I hope Rupp backs Adams to push the boat out and get him though.

He was poor for us on loan, albeit in L1, with errors in the few times he was involved. Only started at left centre back in a poor away defeat at Northampton and got subbed after 60 odd minutes. A few sub appearances as well when he made some minutes here and there. 81 minutes in total I think. He was only signed as back up though.

It may be that he didn't get a run and settle into the team etc so it may not be indicative of course.

Our team is looking horrific as expected.

Goalkeepers
Rory Watson, Tom Collins

Defenders
Jai Rowe, George Taft, Manny Onariase, Mason O'Malley

Midfielders
Lewis Spence, Alfie Beestin, Tom Pugh, Myles Hypolytte, Tom Pugh, Alex Kenyon

Attackers
Ryan Loft, Kenan Dunnwald-Turan, Aaron Jarvis, Devarn Green

Alex Kenyon (who we just signed) has more FL appearances than the rest of our team combined.

I am sure you will strengthen quite a bit more before the big kick off, because as it stands, that squad screams relegation mate

If he's playing as a left back then god help you. If you play him further forward and don't expect him to do any defending then he'll be one of the best left sided players in the division.
He has zero positional sense, is a walking red card (think he managed to get sent off 3 times for us in the two spells) with his reckless lunges at players, lazy to track players and lets players get past him way too easily.
But then going forward that is a different matter. His set pieces are okay, but running with the ball and in open play his crossing ability is simply sensational. He can beat opposition full backs for fun. Just play him as a left winger and you have a fine player.
Thanks for that!

Curle likes 3-5-2, so he'll probably play left wing-back, with McGahey behind him on the left side of a back 3.

You need Anthony Grant.

We need to re-sign him.

We won't strengthen, we don't have the money. We will randomly bring in loads of non-league players a week before the season starts.

We're doomed baring a miracle investment

You've got more forwards on your books than Rovers.

McGreal has come out with a cryptic ‘message to the fans’ statement today.

Says the club has signed 6 players but cannot announce them because of the ongoing court case. Here’s his words

‘The club are currently not in a position to announce these signings due to the ongoing court case regarding the ownership of Swindon Town.’

Can’t make head nor tail of it, tbh.
That’s really odd considering you’ve already announced Sweeney. Wonder what’s changed since?

We’re looking shite at the moment. No adequate keeper, no right (wing?) backs, no wide players and only a mostly-unproven kid up front. Still, we’ve got a monopoly on bog-average, uncreative central midfielders, so that’ll work out I’m sure.

GK: Sam Sargeant, Rhys Byrne (Youth)
RB: ???
LB: Connor Wood, Jayden Sweeney (Youth)
CB: Adam Thompson, Omar Beckles, Dan Happe, Shadrach Ogie (Youth)
RM: ???
LM: ???
CM: Darren Pratley, Ouss Cissé, Craig Clay, Hector Kyprianou, Matt Young (Youth)
AMC: Dan Kemp, Anthony Papadopoulos (Youth)
FC: Ruel Sotiriou

A metric fuck-ton of work still to be done this summer. All eyes on Lawrence Vigouroux at the moment. Desperate for him to sign. Can’t be doing with Sarge as first choice between the sticks.

A somewhat unbalanced squad so far for Dale:
GK: Jay Lynch, Brad Wade, Brad Wall*
DEF: Eoghan O'Connell, Joe Dunne**
MF: Aaron Morley, Ollie Rathbone, Conor Grant, Stephen Dooley, Ethan Brierley*
FW: Steve Humphrys, Jake Beesley, Alex Newby, Abraham Odoh, Peter Thomas*

*17 year old given Pro contract.
** 2nd year Pro, not played in FL yet

Could do with probably four defenders. Whether full time signings, or loanees, they're needed!

Bankrolled Harrogate in talks with forward Luke Armstrong. If the figures are to be believed, it's money we can't compete with.
