I liked Craddock but I think he has been injured a lot for some time since leaving us.

Was quite a clever striker, used to take up good positions, make good runs and although not fast could beat a man on occasion. Don't know what toll injuries have had though.

Bit strange Money is looking at him as he preferred Barnes-Homer to himself sold him to Oxford if I recall.

Unlikely to be a St Neots player. You in the market for a central defender or striker?, or both?

Yep, we are in the market for both. Not sure on the striker though as we have Francois Zoko on trial - We may sign him! (hopefully...)

He's your typical 'all style no substance' type - he'll skip past 3 players and then trip over his own feet when it comes to the crossing/shooting part. He's also a massive massive twatbasket. He'd probably do alright in League 2 though assuming he still has his pace, he'd give you the odd game where he manages to control his own limbs and look a very good player.

Not even sure he did that. For most of his eighteen months at Notts he was completely anonymous.

You cheeky little sausage Mr Dosh! Good for 15 goals a season at this level, if fit.

John Cofie is one of the worst players I've ever seen in a Notts shirt. I'm not just saying that because of my established brand of calling every player shit. He was genuinely very very shit and we had him the same time as we had Jacob Blyth, it was a difficult time in my life.

Here's an in-depth analysis of Cofie as a player

Things he is good at - running fast
Things he is bad at - everything else

We will probably sign him then as we have absolutely nobody in the entire 11 that can just run, with any remote sort of pace. We had Hiwula but he's gone to Huddersfield. Part of me wants to sign him just to say John Cofie, continually in that voice every Saturday afternoon.

Walkin' the mile....

Yeah spot on, he was good not great, plenty to improve on defensively (which he has potential to do)

QPR wanted almost £200k for him plus a sell on. Madness.

Anybody know what Danny Galbraith is like, was on trial with Cambridge.

I quite liked him, he has a bit of talent. Trouble is he was competing with Bradley Dack for a place in the side, and there's only one winner there. Worth a punt I feel, could be a gem.

Luke Howell appears to be on trial at Leyton Orient which is interesting.

I love him, and and I think he's good for a club like us - but for a club like Orient with ambitions of getting out of this league straight away, I don't see Luke as the type of player you should be looking to sign.

Saw him play last night at Braintree, he did ok. We're not going to get out of this league at the top end, we've signed alot of young cheap players as well as cloggers like Sammy Moore and Sean Clohessy. We're an average League Two club at best and our owner is not investing any more money right now, we have completely (And Thankfully) slashed our wage bill.

If he is a box to box midfielder, he will likely sign. I cannot see us getting anyone better than Luke Howell.

To be fair to RB I thought Cofie was really shit when he was here. Typical footballer who made it with a big team just cause he's fast

Scored 1 goal for us in 2 seasons, anything more than a 1 year deal is risky.

I saw a tweet yesterday that said that Notts County are still hopeful of signing Craig Mackail-Smith for their League 2 galaticos, despite him training with Luton at the moment. Well, just to dispel this to an extent, according to someone who has got all of our transfers right so far this summer:

"They only league two club Craig will join us Luton. There would only be a small number of league one clubs who could compete. Any footballer wants to play as high a level as he can throughout his career. If a decent championship club come in for him both should blame him for taking that. Luton and the player have come to a good arrangement that helps both and gives us a chance of signing him."

Bit of a contradiction there.

I made a rare venture onto Outlaws yesterday and saw that the ITK guy who has been spot on with most of transfers has said we aren't too fussed about adding another striker and are happy with what we have.

That's pretty concerning in my opinion, as I think we look very short there. Can see a merry go round of on loan strikers in our future this season.

By no means do I expect us to sign Mackail-Smith, but that doesn't really make sense. If we offer/have offered him significantly more money than Luton, then he's more likely to come here, is just how it works.

Well no it doesn't - I'd be working in the Middle East right now if it was all about money. The reason he went to Portugal was because of John Still. And he'd have to relocate to Nottingham, which apparently he doesn't want to (not go to Nottingham, just have to relocate).

I loved him when he was here, was gutted when he left (weirdly enough it was Money who seemed to force him out for little apparent reason). He's had major injury issues since which is a shame, he could have had a very decent career if he'd stayed fit.
