Give us an unbiased synopsis mate, don't know too much about him, but luton must have seen something in him ?, our fan base are pretty excited with the signing
Some of them are, others less so.

He must be rated highly to pay a fee

Nombe was a bit of a weird, and in hindsight, a panic signing on our part last season. We needed a forward option with a bit of pace and power and I think he was available so we took a punt.

Think he’s got a lot of raw physical attributes, very strong, seemed pretty quick as well but just on the whole a bit too raw to make the step up to playing championship football. He was only ever likely to be a bench/plan b type option and he never really did that either. In his few appearances he put himself about a bit, but that’s about all you could say. Missed on one v one chance that I remember but don’t recall much else. After Adebayo came in and played regularly it was obvious we wouldn’t be taking up the option to sign him.

He got publically called out by our manager around his training too although I don’t think he’s a problem player. Think a move to league 2 and a chance to play regular football will do him the world of good.

happy with that considering we have wilson and potentially rodders ahead of him.

A will swann on loan would cap of a handy strike force if we can ship theo out.

Proctor is up there with the worst strikers we've ever had.

I wouldn't take him now in our current team.

Hilariously our local paper have linked us with Tyreik Wright on loan from Villa. Apparently Orient and Salford are interested so we are surely nowhere near getting someone like him in the current state we're in!!

I don’t think we’ll be signing Callum Harriott any time soon, on anyone else will be trying to sign him for that matter. He’s been charged with rape and will go on trial later this month……

I also believe we will have a few trialists playing for us tomorrow in our first friendly against Dundee.
A few of the Colchester fans were suggesting personal issues behind him not playing in their last two games and then being released, and doubted he would return to football. They didn't know what those issues were though, like whether we should be feeling sympathy with him or not. Guess this explains a lot.

Proctor didn't impress on loan for us. Good with his back to goal but easily forced too deep and too slow to get into dangerous positions after laying the ball off.

It had been mentioned on a fans' Facebook group a few months back that he had a court case pending, seemingly by people who knew the person involved. Obviously due to the nature of it any further details weren't really disclosed but he was then left out of the last couple of squads due to 'personal reasons' and released with minimal fuss despite being arguably the best player and top goalscorer.

Commiserations mate, Iess than 50 league goals in 11 years. Had a brief spell with us, and to be fair he did split opinion probably 50/50, but personally didnt rate him at all

I posted this , somewhere, once before.

Jamie Procter will come into the team. Score a good goal, cause problems for the opposition and you will be thinking...Wow !

A couple of months later you will groan if you see his name on the teamsheet. There's definitely a good player in there but he seems to disappear.

To be fair he’s likely (unless he does perform above expectation) to be third or forth choice striker behind Rodney and Wilson. Still need another striker to have the usual four unless we are going to use youth striker Eden Bailey there.

I’d like a decent goal scoring option as the other striker and it would be an alright set but the hope is that Rodney will push further on this season.

Quick maths but reckon Jamie Proctor has now played for 25% of the sides in this league including Vale.

My honest opinion, baring in mind that even before the whole Luton fiasco I didn't rate him as highly as others. He's one of our most overrated players that we've ever had purely because he's a youth product.

He came into the team after a few injuries in September under Tisdale and to be fair to him the first month he was good. He scored against AFC which is always a bonus in our books and put in a really solid performance against Liverpool. After about October though he fell off a bit and in January his head looks like it was turned by Luton, despite him not going there for another 9 or 10 months.

He's a strong player, I don't recall him being overly pacey for the most part but I haven't seen him play in over a year now. All in all the whole Luton move and the comments around that really soured him to a chunk of our fanbase and I was glad when our manager said twice that he wasn't in the plans.

If he wasn't in your plans why did we pay a fee?

Regarding Jamie Proctor his goalscoring record isn't great but he only needs to get more than the 3 pope got and 1 Guthrie scored to be an improvement. He's played most of his career in league one and the odd season in the championship so he can't be that bad of a player.

He looked terrible at Fylde and his goal record of 1 in 8 for them in the National League doesn't seem too impressive.

Sutton have got a decent player in Boldewijn.

Played for Crawley for 2 seasons before we sold him to the Pies in their relegation season. Like all wingers he can excite and frustrate in equal measure but as good as most you'll find in league 2.

The initial money is whatever, it's the future fee's I hope they've got right.

We could do with signing a player or 10 like couldn't we...

Er we have moved back to a proper training ground at least.

We've booked the 3 and in pitch for pre season starting Thursday morning.

Enzio Boldewijn signs for Sutton after leaving Notts County.

We were linked with him but doubt we’d offer more than a 1 year deal although the length of his Sutton contract kept secret. Some hysterical over-reaction on a Rovers forum to being beaten to a signing by Sutton. He is the kind of player we need, don’t have any out and out wingers on the books atm.

As expected, we have confirmed the signing of Ross Millen.

It's another player at least, let's just hope he's good.

Micky Mellon has never really used wingers that much. I take no notice of alleged incomings on twitter sites mostly.
