How does Lyle Taylor even earn Football League contracts? Fraudulent at Bournemouth, Hereford, Sheffield United and Scunthorpe, surely people only sign him because of his pace and a good goalscoring record in the Scottish nether regions?
He was great for us when given a chance.

Neither - live in North London and get a 20 minute train to Luton.

He will be in a front three for us with akinfenwa and Elliott. I recon that's a handful.

A handful no doubt, but that sounds like an incredibly unbalanced front three to me.

if akinfenwa is involved it's always going to be unbalanced. unless maybe you signed a moderately sized elephant to play alongside him.

Unbalanced how? We have two people playing off akinfenwa.

Unbalanced because either Elliott or Akinfenwa is going to have to run one of the wide channels, which will be comical.

well we shall see. Ardley has said he feels Cambridge used Elliot the wrong way and that he can play a role other than target man. I guess time will tell. Still overall it gives us 5 strikers now. One more CB and we are done.

Yes I don't think our style of football suited him. He's a better ball player than direct football lends him to play.

It's another centre midfielder. We're gonna pack the midfield and play 3-6-1. Anyone wanna bet?! ;-)

Jesus.... where would you rather live Nottingham or Luton... It's proper hobson's choice that. I guess you just have to pray you get hit by a bus before the deadline day.

Guess you've never been to Nottingham then... It actually had incredibly nice parts to it unlike any of luton.

There's actually some really lovely parts of Luton. Just none near the football ground, obviously.

We really don't need CMS, but it'd be funny.

Wimbledon have put together a tidy little side it seems to me.

I think it's better by some distance than the one we started with last year. No Tubbs but stronger all-round forward line. Lyle Taylor scored a hat-trick in the space of under 10 minutes tonight when he came on against Basingstoke so he can put the ball where it needs to go - which you couldn't say with any confidence about any of Tubbs' replacements last season. I think the division's stronger all-round though, and not convinced about our central midfield, so doubt we'll be troubling the top places.

It's not that Elliott didn't suit our style, it's that he preferred the physio's table over the pitch. The only game I ever truly thought we used Elliott as a target man was against Manure. Also Wombles, he is very handy when defending corners.

I have to question people's views on so-called style at this level. I think the past two seasons I've season the best football from any Utd side, granted these last 15 years have been a little iffy. Our first season back in the league, we discover our defence woefully inept. People see the CB panic and hoof it a couple of times, and it automatically becomes our style of play. Grinds my gears, that!

Yep, the name is on our forum a and from a reputable independent source on Twitter too. His CV looks impressive but I know nothing if him besides name. Bristol Rovers and Notts County fans may have opinions of him?
