McCormick is hands down the best keeper in the division.

LOL

Every year slimers wheel that one out. He's a joke. Or he would be if he wasn't a murderer.

Manslaughterer* but hey, let's not get into that. Him and Carroll joint in my opinion, if Carroll isn't a hasbeen yet.

Roy Carroll is a legend. Nut job but absolute quality. Loves to tie a shoe lace. Ahem.

Yeah Carroll has got a screw loose somewhere, hence why he's pissing about at this level.

Of course he's not a has been, he's still playing international football, and could play at Euros next year. Not sure the ex Premiership goalkeeper should be compared with McCormick. I've always heard that he was good, but he's no Wes Foderingham

If we were to sign CMS after all this willy waving from Luton and County, it would be just superb.

;-)

Carroll was arguably the best keeper in League 1 last season, let alone now he's in League 2. I'm not sure I actually like him, he's a fucking stupid prick that even draws the sighs of his own fans over his bizarre antics - but there's no doubt he's good at the goalkeeping stuff. Really really good.

No Notts fan (on here anyway) has actually ever thought he was going to sign for us, as far as I can tell. Let alone got their nob out over the prospect.

I think you'll find that Graham Stack will be the best keeper next season.

Ahem... :animatedf:

Craig Eastmond is with us and was a trialst in our match against Dulwich the other day. Our previous ex-Gunners have done well so fingers crossed...

Every teams fans that drop down a level always have "the best X in this division" or say "X will be one of the best in this league"

Very rarely works out like that.

Don't ask me who X is. Rubbish joke forthcoming.

I think that you'll find that Mark Tyler is the best keeper in L2...........whenever he plays against Cambridge United.

Just have a feeling his career may be coming to an end. Was overtaken by Justham end of last year, due to injury. And his injury problems have reared its ugly head again.

He was hardly "overtaken" by Justham. He was injured so Justham had to play. Tyler was still infinitely superior as a goalkeeper, absolutely no question about that.

His ongoing injury is definitely a concern though. Hopefully it's a case of just being managed carefully rather than anything sinister.

Conor Newton to Cambridge apparently. Proper ginger.
That midfield is beginning to look very crowded. There was me thinking that 4 3 3 was an emerging option. Perhaps Richard sees an opportunity to convert another winger/midfield into a fullback (or even two?). Bearing mind that Keane and Donaldson are on the injured list and Liam Hughes has played in most positions, including right back and keeper, choices already look something like:

GK Dunn, Beasant
RB Omozusi, Horne? Taylor
LB Dunk, J Hughes? Taylor
CB Roberts, Legge, Coulson, L Hughes,

RM Carr, (Donaldson), L Hughes, Akintunde
CM (Keane), Berry, L Hughes, Morrissey, Donaldson, J Hughes, Simpson, Lowe
LM Dunk, J Hughes, Donaldson, Chiedozie, Taylor, Carr

CF Corr, Simpson, Carr, Gaffney, Slew, Chiedozie

Add Craddock and Newton into the mix and Friday night should be quite confusing with the equivalent of 2 matches 30 mins each way.

We love a ginger this season. Anyone know anything about him?
Scottish League Cup winners medal (and goal) and fair success at St Mirren but only got 13 appearances at Rotherham last season.

Haha what business we have done this summer. Speaking to a Rotherham fan I know, he cannot believe we've signed him. 14 championship appearances last season and couldn't believe Evans put him on the transfer list.

Crikey, that's even more tinpot than him ending up at Mansfield.
