We’ve signed 19 year old Millwall Centre Half Alex Mitchell on loan from Millwall for the rest of the season. Was on loan at Bromley last season.

We now have 5 CBs for the season. Adam Thompsons been slow in recovering from his ACL so it looks like we’ve moved quickly.

Versatile, hard working and an all round good lad. But my god he made tons of individual mistakes at the back for us many years ago. Surprised to still see him knocking about in the EFL in fairness but hope he does well for you lot.

How many’s that now in the last 12-18 months? Must be near 10 now

Regarding Mellor he showed glimmers but was poor in the main, although got in the league 2 team of the season with Blackpool when they won promotion and won it last year with Morecambe.

If so he’s generally thought of quite well among Mansfield fans, I said at the time it be a good signing, very good on the ball for a L2 defender I mentioned aswell I bet.

2-10) Nine blokes whose job it was to get the ball to Nathan Thomas
11) Nathan Thomas

It's possibly his one sustained spell of superb form in what has been a patchy career, but boy it was great fun while it lasted
