Seems Charman is on his way to Rochdale so more than likely Banks.

We have signed CB Tyler Magloire on loan from Blackburn until the end of the season. He is out of contract at the end of season so depending how he gets on I guess its a try before you buy. One word that seems to be associated with him is pace, although generally I am seeing mixed reviews on him. Hartlepool / Rochdale fans, any thoughts on his spells with you?

We've signed Matty Daly on loan from Town. Thoughts Hartlepool fans?

We’ve signed this Matty Daly guy from Huddersfield is he good Hartlepool fans? He apparently did well against us but I can’t remember him tbh.

Seven goals from midfield already? Sounds alright to me.

Could mean that we’ve given up on Ollie Banks.

Really disappointed by seeing Daly sign for Bradford, we were told he was recalled by Huddersfield due to “Huddersfield in their first team squad” so to see him immediately be loaned out to another team in the same league does not sit well. It’s not like they have wanted to test him in a step up in league one for example.

As for Bradford, you’ve got a really talented player on your hands, bags of potential and if you get a bit of consistency out of him you are laughing really.

Head of football operations Leigh Bromby explained

“This new loan at Bradford City will be a really interesting next step for him. He’s got to show he can adapt to another environment and team, and his challenge is to excel in a side that has a lot of expectations of being successful in the division. I’m really looking forward to see how Matty fares in the coming weeks and months.”

Bradford are currently only 4 points above pools

Sounds like the dogs have shithoused Hartlepool there. By sounds of it they want him to play in front of bigger crowds on a regular basis probably to get used to next season. After what we did with Lewis O’Brien they’ll be hoping for the same again, as are we!

For the short period we had Magloire he seemed a solid enough CB albeit a bit raw. However he more than has the pace to recover from occasional rash decision making etc.

I suppose it comes down to ambition between now and the end of the season. We’re just 6 points off the play-offs, which is bonkers given how shite we’ve been all season. We still have promotion aspirations whereas, I’m guessing, Hartlepool don’t.

That’s the difference.

Can’t help but think there must be something more to it. Initial loan deal was organised with previous manager DC. Maybe Daly isn’t happy with things under Lee? I have absolutely nothing to base that on, sort of wishful thinking really so it isn’t just the case that Huddersfield have just shafted us over.

I think it makes the loan system farcical when a player can play for 2 sides in the same division, during the same season, and not belong to either.

Season long loans aren’t worth the paper they’re written on come January, it seems any success story is recalled for whoever to be farmed out to a bigger fish.

Hopefully Adams was hinting at Daly and not Banks!

Don't think we'll be in for Banks. Can't see us paying a fee for anyone tbh and now we've signed Daly, I think we've got enough central players. Obviously I'm assuming Daly plays centrally?

Yeah centre mid, knew something like this was going to happen when he was recalled, he’s a bright spark Daly, should do really well.

Ridiculous isn't it. So much for the 'January war chest' about 7 out and 2 in.

Wish he'd just sell up as he blatantly can't be arsed to put money into the club.

Have you seen him play?
I was at the FAI Cup Final between Bohemians and St Patrick’s Athletic. He froze on the big stage I thought missed a couple of good chances.

He’s had a great season at Bohemians but I don’t think he’s cut out for England given lack of goals for other clubs. I could be( and am often) wrong though.

One name I have had mentioned to me is Crawleys Tom Nichols, apparently he is a player we wouldn't mind signing.

Not sure how creditable this rumour is though, Crawley probably wouldn't accept any bids for him though unless it was silly money.

Jonathan Mitchell and Jake Lawlor have both left us this morning, neither are good enough for this league.

Must be bringing bodies in now surely.

Raj said there would definitely be money to invest in January… so far we have had 7 players leave I think and a young cb on loan and a striker from non league come in.

We're apparently on the verge of signing Otis Khan from Walsall. Salford also wanted him too it seems.
