Our chairman has claimed that we are going about recruitment the correct way.

We lost our two top scorers and replaced them with a striker who has never played a senior game before.

Beyond doomed.

Aye I'm no Killip fan but he's much better than Mitchell was.
Only half way through the season......I dread corners against.
You know as well as i do, simple balls played in are left to create chaos at times.

That’s a decent deal for Banks, to guarantee a fee if offers come in or will he stay at Barrow the duration?

Banks was usually a good player at home for Rovers, but either went missing or get into trouble for wild reckless challenges away. Has he eradicated that side of his game and become more consistent now? If so a good one to have onboard and comes up with the occasional worldie too.

Last season he was a bit crap as our tactics bypassed the midfield altogether - this season everything comes through him and he's loving it. Plays so deep (even played in the back three on occasion), spraying balls out to the wings.

Still picks up pointless yellows most matches (about 11 or 12 this season so far), but that's only an issue every few months when he has to sit out games...

Just got back from that excuse of a match. Was told on good authority that we signed Devantte Rodney this morning, to be announced fficially Monday. Sorry if this as appeared elsewhere?
Just been posted on our forum this guy has been right before.

It would make sense mate, or at least the fact we only named 5 subs today and he’s been nowhere to be seen for a while would add up

Both Kieran Agard and Zanzala were in our laps to sign last week before they chose to go to Doncaster and Exeter respectively.

What I would have given for one of them today.

We already needed another striker now we desperately need one as Angols time with us is up, I’m sure any fan on here could have told us this would happen but pulled his hamstring for the second time this season and it’ll take him to the end of his contract.

Very talented player but his hamstrings are made of twigs unfortunately. Best of luck to him but we never should have signed him, another into the Zeli Ismail pile.

Last week of the window and we need two strikers. Given we don't spend any money, I can't see past a couple of Guthrie/Robinson type signings.

Gamble selling Rodney at the moment but the fact we only had 5 or 6 subs last couple of games show the situation we are in. Gibbons going off in tears today and Conlon likely also put long term we need all the bodies we can get. Need a massive few days before the window shuts or any chance of top 7 is over.

Need to look at these injury crises we keep having, cost us last season and even more so this… must be a reason.

I have no doubt it will be. Another season of mid table mediocrity beckons.

Classic Angol. Think he banged in 6 or 7 for us last pre-season. One goal, a sending off and a hamstring tear in his first 10 League games incoming.

I do believe I called it correctly.

It's a shame because he's a quality player but you'd have to think this may be the end of him in league football with his injury record.

To be fair he was scoring 1 in 2 for us and was fantastic playing on the left, poor up front though but there aren’t many players at this level with more quality than him and he worked hard. But you were certainly right about the injuries and red card. He’d be playing at a higher level if not for injuries but you only have to watch his injury today painfully for us as well when he was through on goal with the keeper to see why he’ll probably be non league next season.

Don't worry, you are sure to get a favourable ref next week to help.

The last red card in our favour happened in 2019, we've had 10 against us since then.

With your red card record it would be great if you could get one on Tuesday and break that streak for us.

It will effectively be 10 men from kick off if Loft starts

Ipswich have recalled Tyrese Simpson from his season long loan leaving us with 0 strikers. To say that's disappointing is an understatement. There isn't a teenager in the bottom 2 divisions doing better so can understand why Ipswich might want to get him involved with them.

Very important week for us transfer wise now. We need 4 or 5 now.

Huge blow that for you guys, he looked very good in both our meetings, guess as with Politic for us its the risk with loans.

Apparently we're signing goalkeeper Alex Bass from Pompey. Supposed to be highly rated.

Could be a fishy signing. Hope he doesn't look out of plaice etc.

Borderline yellow card there. Not quite though.

Sounds like we're signing Joe Nuttall on loan from Blackpool, was spotted at our game yesterday.

Played one game in the last two years and he will still be our best striker.

Clarkes comments re injuries when he took over are well and truly biting him in the arse.

I've been told we will be signing Ethan Coleman from Kings Lynn and Jordan Brown from Derby - Both are cental midfielders, Brown can also operate in defence.

Coleman one will be pernament - not too sure on the Brown one due to Derbys circumstances, but I wouldn't be suprised if we tried to buy him too. Expecting that one to be a loan move though.
