Piergianni now confirmed to have signed for Stevenage alongside Bostwick and some keeper. Am glad of this to stop any of our fans suggesting we try and sign him.
The keeper is Aaron Chapman, was with us last season but only really broke in to the first team once Neil Harris arrived and put it some impressive displays especially on the final day. I was disappointed we didn’t try to keep him for next season, but he wanted to move back up north…

…So he signs for Stevenage.

Is the ‘keeper Joe Day? If so, I think he’s decent. And if you can get Norwood that would be a very good signing as I expect a number of L1 clubs would be keen.
Apparently its Townsend mate dont know much about either tbh.

He was being touted on our forum as well no thanks glad he has gone elsewhere think we have 2 better than him at the club already in Monthe and daniels.

Aye it’s a classic case of he has an exotic sounding name and scored off a couple of set pieces against us so people automatically think we should sign him. Just your standard ten a penny L2 centre back really.

Have Walsall announced any of their signings yet that Pomlett said had been done? Does make you wonder if they’ve actually agreed to sign.

Chapman is OK, nothing more.
Not disappointed at all that he has gone but the manner does rankle.
If he just wants to earn more money, say so. No one would begrudge him that. But to spout bollocks about wanting to go back north for family reasons then sign for Stevenage is just taking the fans for mugs.
He and that fat odious sweaty deserve each other.

Reminds me of Lewis Page who left us as he wanted to be nearer to London but ended up signing for Harrogate!

Quite a while ago Mark Marshall did that with us. After his contract had run out said he wanted to go back down south. Not unreasonable and all that but then suddenly rocked up at that well known southern location of Bradford. Never changed how well we thought of him but would have been nice if was just a bit more up front he had a better option elsewhere.

Nick Townsend is now seen as our No1 keeper and he has a year left on his contract so i don't think you will be getting him, Joe Day on the other hand!! for some stupid reason Flynn gave him a 3 year contract of which he has 2 years remaining and he is the one who can't distribute the ball good enough for the way Rowberry wants to play, so the majority of our fans would probably say your welcome to him and with 2 years left we would milk you for every penny, having said that Day is a very good shot stopper.

It wasn't quite like that in fairness to Marshall... he did leave to go down south but didnt get a club so asked Smurf to now sign his contract offer but Smurf had pulled it by this point and had signed Sam Kelly (lol)

So he had to sign for Bradford and ended up further north than his original destination!

Aye although I would just caution on that it’s only going off Smurthwaites word that actually happened. The same bloke who claimed he was receiving messages from Bill Bell not to put the club into administration despite him being dead for about 6 months at the time.

A guy on our forum, who obviously has a source in the club based on how many transfers he calls before they are announced, reckons it’s nailed on he’s coming to us.
Surprised Lando hasn't been dragged into a meeting yet!

Best transfer news for us that scholar Zac Williams has signed a pro deal. The lads to class and will go alot higher up. He was pretty much the only one of our squad that looked comfortable in league 1, intact despite only being 17 at times he looked too good for that level, so it was no surprise to hear premier league teams were sniffing around him.

Minor rumour that you guys are looking to sign Rob Hunt (RB) from us.

Been told this evening we're in talks with Dion Conroy.

A bit suprising as we have 4 Centre halfs currently in Omar Beckles, Adam Thompson, Shad Ogie and Dan Happe - Having said that, Happe hasn't been consistent enough since we came back 3 years ago and I am not 100% Adam Thompson is going to stick around.

On the other hand, you've all said how much Wellens loves Conroy!

Classy defender who has come back from some horrible injuries. You'll struggle to find a better passing centre back who is very comfortable bringing the ball out from the back in the basement division. But he has had issues with concentration and leadership (he was our club captain) and does have a tendancy to make an error. That said, towards the end of the season him and Matt Baudry were excellent.

I can definitely see him playing for Wellens again, I wish him luck and it's probably best for all parties as he was apparently on decent wages.

I'm with you unfortunately. I might be wrong but it feels like Bradford are repeating the same mistakes...filling their team with squad players who won't make much of a difference. Perhaps these are just the squad fillers and Hughes has some better signings lined up?

We’ve only made 4 signings, 2 guaranteed starters Walker is better than league 2 if we’d had him all season we’d be much higher up it was fantastic to get him permanently. Matthew Platt will be first choice and sounds a talented player. The other two are most likely second choice keeper and a young lad who’ll replace Robinson on the bench which I’m happy with for obvious reasons that it’s replacing Robinson. It’s those still in contract I’m most bothered about especially crap like Threlkeld, but hopefully some can be moved on. Most City fans are happy with the signings so far, I say most…

Still a lot of comings and going’s to come, the season isn’t technically over yet. Although there will be meltdown if George Miller shows up which keeps going around on Twitter.
