Well its all over FB, its Josh Umera, released from Wealdstone.FFS.
The other is the jock we've been linked with for weeks.
Which jock?

And if players released by Wealdstone is what we are looking at there will be plenty pissed off I’d imagine.

Oddly i genuinely have no recollection of him playing for us, despite it not being that long ago. Not sure if its age, if I just lost interest as we were going down or if he was just underwhelming. Sadly i am of no use to you with this one!
He was at Burton for 2 seasons, but none of the fans knew who is was.

According to the "Stones" OS.
They had already turned down 3 Bids from EFL clubs for Umera.
But the player wanted away, Pools was best offer.

Going for it then.

The manager spends the budget not the chairman.

Shrugs.

It's an area of concern because with Joel Senior out for the first three months of the season, 18 year old youth product Jack Ellis is our only right back, option. Now we'll go into the season with two fit right backs... which is an improvement... but. Senior has hardly any league experience himself, but, we need alternatives and probably aren't in a position to just stock up on right backs. We may come to regret getting shot of Mellor at this rate though.

I’d be shocked if we end up regretting getting shot of him.

Seems keen, much rather see a player like this wanting to make a name than some shyster on the way down.

Exactly what Stockport have done, How Many NatLge players have they signed
This season, must be 4-5 now.

I,d rather have this lad than Wotton.

We can only wait & see.
Sterry & Fergie have been excellent signings from lower down the pyramid, but the forwards we've brought in have been dreadful.

Two from Torquay, one from Notts, one who was on loan at Notts for most of the season and one from York.

Whenever I've see Wootton I've rarely been impressed but can't say I remember this lad when Wealdstone came to ours either. Be interesting to see how they compare.

A random NL striker who I thought may have moved is Josh Kelly of Maidenhead. One of the very few players who caught my eye as an opposition player last season bar Tshimanga, Sbarra of Solihull and a couple of Wrexham lads.

one of the rumour sites linked us to Kelly last week* - but nowhere has been linking him to us since. The site did get the Harrison Neal loan correct before it was announced - but seams hit and miss at best.

*Wild said the day after the rumour that we had missed out on a target who had decided to move elsewhere - but that doesn't mean it was Kelly

Genuine question does anyone know the reason behind the “undisclosed fee”

Something I’ve never got my head round.

maybe if you sell someone and then you go out and try and sign a replacement and everyone knows you have an extra £50K or £100K - the selling club and or player will ask for more money? or maybe someone like Raj can make fans believe he's spent a lot to try to gain popularity when i fact the fee was £5K and a full tank of fuel in the Wealdstone chairman's car.

depends how well the other right backs we have do.
Well Senior showed in just a few appearances more than Mellor did all season in my opinion. I thought Mellor was too slow over the first few yards, slow on the turn and for a fairly big guy, physically weak.

Carlisle's signings stink of seasons gone by despite the return of the Messiah. I'm sat here believing Stocky's prophecy has legs.

Rumours doing the rounds on Twitter that we’re in talks with Will Grigg.

Started his career with us, would be a great signing for any league two club.

I still don’t believe it’ll happen but he’s exactly the kind of player we need to sign to get out this division.

Has tonight signed for Franchise.

Oh yeah we’re still scraping the bottom of the barrel for the shite that no one else wants. I stand by my statement last season that for most footballers, we are their 92nd choice of league club. That’s something we have to live with.

But having what I believe (I know many disagree) is a competent manager at this level, I’m hoping he might just be able to polish a few turds. He obviously did with a few of last seasons squad given the fact we’re still in the football league.

But I’m under no illusions of us all of a sudden being a more attractive proposition for players.

Someone on the Fishy reckons we're in for Fin Shrimpton, which definitely has some good marketing possibilities. Apparently he's signed a new deal at Scunny though so unfortunately I think it's a load of scallops.
