It’s just something that’s always irritated me, I get the point about wanting to hide to other clubs what money is available.

Just personally feel owners should be transparent about what money the club receives/spends.

Maybe our recent history with owners has made me more cynical though.

On the face of it this isn't a bad signing. Lad got 17 in 40 in a poor side and seems very keen judging by the interview, quick and strong and not afraid of the battle. It's the type of move we should be making. We need a lot more pace and strength across the pitch so if he can adapt to the step up then we might have a good one.

Been on holiday last couple of weeks and grateful I've not paid a lot of attention, any more to add to this off the top of me head?

Kyle Letheren
Brody Paterson
Euan Murray
Reghan Tumilty
Mohammed Niang
Callum Cooke
Josh Umerah

New seats in The Millhouse look smart like.

Never looked like a footballer for us but has been around a bit since so may well have put some graft in an improved some what.

Certainly has been around the non league scene. Ayr fans loved him, though. Just a twitter rumour.

Umerah could be a smart signing for Hartlepool. He's strong, a willing runner and decent in the air. He runs the channels well and though his hold up play isn't great it's not terrible either. Wealdstone aren't a great NL side and he scored plenty for them. Wealdstone have been rejecting advances from other sides for him for a while now so it's not a massive surprise to see him make a step up.

one of the rumour sites linked us to Kelly last week* - but nowhere has been linking him to us since. The site did get the Harrison Neal loan correct before it was announced - but seams hit and miss at best.

*Wild said the day after the rumour that we had missed out on a target who had decided to move elsewhere - but that doesn't mean it was Kelly

Wasn't it Ash Hunter that moved elsewhere?

The Kelly rumours were partly fuelled by his family members following our social media accounts. Don't know if talks broke down or anything, but he was playing in their last friendly.

Still need a big centre forward as back-up to complete the squad.

Oh yeah we’re still scraping the bottom of the barrel for the shite that no one else wants. I stand by my statement last season that for most footballers, we are their 92nd choice of league club. That’s something we have to live with.

But having what I believe (I know many disagree) is a competent manager at this level, I’m hoping he might just be able to polish a few turds. He obviously did with a few of last seasons squad given the fact we’re still in the football league.

But I’m under no illusions of us all of a sudden being a more attractive proposition for players.

Just a theory, but do you think Dean Henderson not getting sold has meant Simpson has nothing to spend?

Suggestion this morning that we're on the verge of a double signing - Aaron Pierre (CB) and Kai Corbett (RW).

Pierre is probably just we need defensively to compliment Ehmer, Baggott and Wright, while Corbett is a hell of a talent who I've already recommended to two separate clubs as part of my work. Would be happy if both were true.
Pierre was very good for us in L2, and we only got rid in the first place because he had an altercation with a dickhead fan in a Tesco's car park who thought it'd be a good idea to slag him off to his face for having a shit game…and Pierre headbutted the prick.

Probably a fair outcome, but you can't really do that and get away with it, so we released him.

Anyway - not that you have any moron elements within your fanbase, I'm sure, but you may want to let them know to go easy on the "constructive criticism" if you're going to sign him...

Yeah. It’s been the case every transfer window in recent years. Fuck all to spend unless Henderson gets sold or we sell players. It’s probably why we are trying to sell Patrick as well. Anything saleable, we flog. Simple.

Genuine question does anyone know the reason behind the “undisclosed fee”

Something I’ve never got my head round.
Something that seems to really wind our fans up for some reason. Probably because every signing we make/sell seems to be "£Undisc". Which then leads to speculation that we sell everyone "too cheap". I don't get the stress about it. It's not like as a fan I'm getting a cut of the proceeds.

Don,t let it bother you, Cause if someone quoted a figure itwould probably be made up.
And we are not going to see the documents are we.

Two from Torquay, one from Notts, one who was on loan at Notts for most of the season and one from York.

Whenever I've see Wootton I've rarely been impressed but can't say I remember this lad when Wealdstone came to ours either. Be interesting to see how they compare.

A random NL striker who I thought may have moved is Josh Kelly of Maidenhead. One of the very few players who caught my eye as an opposition player last season bar Tshimanga, Sbarra of Solihull and a couple of Wrexham lads.
Wotton is not my cup of tea either, However DC can and has been proven to get the best out of players.
If not he,ll drift away.

We've signed right back Cheye Alexander after a successful trial period. His arrival means we have a choice of him or Will Wright to play full back, but does free up Wright to play centre half as well if we need him to.

It's weird having squad depth in a position.

some cryptic stuff on Twitter about us potentially signing a Barrow player, but not got a clue who we would be interested in. Jordan Stevens was mentioned as we had him on loan before Barrow signed him permanently and the only other one I can think we might be interested in is Robbie Gotts. Any Barrow fans heard anything their end?

Not heard anything at all this end, but if it was Gotts I'd be very disappointed if we sold him to anyone in our league. He's got a future in divisions above.

could possibly be James Jones who turned down a new contract. 6'4" central defender.

On the #stfc some random person put a post about us signing Barrow players. I'm led to believe there may be something in it but I'm not being told anything concrete as my contact has said the club are being very tight lipped with business.

We are close to completing deals on 4 permanents apparently.
