Wrexham get linked to every player who laces up boots in the lower leagues. Seen them linked to our entire front line, two thirds of our midfield, and half of our defence in this window.
They can have most of ours for nowt

Timi Odisina apparently on his way back to Pools on loan.
Also keeper Jakob somebody on loan from Leicester,11 games on loan at Dunfermline recently.
Oh joy.

Genuinely wouldn’t want Timi back here, barely kicked a ball this season and couldn’t wait to fuck off, surely we’re going back to three CB’s and that would be Pruti/Hartley/Menayese.

The keeper doesn’t fill you with much hope but neither does Killip.

Signed keeper James Beadle from Brighton on loan and young midfielder Ryan Finnagan from Southampton.

I know nothing about either but they're two positions we definitely needed strengthening.

20 goals in a season in L1 for us. Surprised they’re reluctant to use him given they gave him a 3 year deal.

Half of them were probably down to Jordan Graham. It's no surprise his form was nowhere near as good last season without Graham's service.

Personally I'd definitely have Odusina back, he's got pace, knows the club and would be the best centre half in the squad.

The other lad can do one. Why can't we get a proper keeper in?

All the noises from the club are concerning. Value this, value that blah blah blah. Evident there's not enough will to keep our FL status.

You're probably better off asking the Cheltenham fans to be honest mate, as we last had him in our relegation season in 2021 so I can obviously only speak for his time here. He partnered Luke Waterfall at the back for most of the season and I'm absolutely convinced that if either one of them had been partnered with someone else with a bit of pace we'd have had a much better chance of staying up as they are both quality L2 centre backs, just both slow tank-like players. Pollock was bullying L2 targetmen aged 18 though. The only other time we've had a young CB as good as him was Ryan Bennett who was just on another level in terms of technical ability. Pollock for us was all about power, strength, grit...all the things you want in a hardened experienced CB he had the moment he stepped onto the pitch for his debut which is such a rareity. Was also immediately good positionally, great in the air, always went in hard in the tackle. He actually made his debut at your place, coming off the bench when we went down to 10 men and somehow still won 2-1. The game when Stockley equalised on about 80 mins after you'd absolutely battered us for about an hour but we went up the pitch and got a pen immediately after and nicked it.

I think it speaks volumes that when he got relegated out of the EFL a (then) Prem club came along and signed him.

Sorry this has turned into a bit of an essay but yep short answer, we loved him. Would like to see him go on loan to you instead of being sold To Wednesday or someone as I'm still hoping he can make his way into the Watford team and earn us some sweet sweet sell on clause money at some point.

Vadaine is a hell of a forward - the best aerially in League One over the last two years as well as scoring countless goals at that level of all varieties (weirdly not too many dominant headers from crosses which you might expect).

It was the same with Tom Eaves - we properly got a tune out of him in a goalscoring sense and he was an absolute beast, but both have gone elsewhere and their new clubs have struggled to get anything like the returns we saw. Falls directly on Bradford that he isn't scoring as many to be fair, he's proven he's capable when used properly.
That's why I was surprised Bradford signed him, can't imagine Hughes playing in a way that does that. He'd have been better off at Stevenage under Evans or somewhere.

I actually thought he'd be a Harris kind of player.

Thanks! I remember his debut well!! We did indeed batter you and your ‘keeper put in one of the best performances I’ve ever seen.

Oddly enough, our CB Alex Hartridge made his debut that day too and he’ll play alongside Pollock in a back 3 (the other player being Sweeney).

Great to see he’s a very good physical presence and hopefully we can get around the fact he’s not the quickest. Both Hartridge and Diabate are pretty mobile and have some pace to their game.

Definitely a decent keeper but I dont know what you current keeper is like. Is he a replacement or a bench sitter I'm not sure.

Can he play league one? Yeah. Higher than that I'm not sure.

Casey
Our current keeper Belshaw was POTY last season and a fans favourite, but has made some errors in L1, usually because he acts as a sweeper and has been caught out a bit (watch highlights from either of our games with Exeter for examples :ffs: ).
I think with how we play any other keeper would need to be good with his feet too. This new GK will be to give him some stiffer competition for the No1 spot.

We’ve signed Joe Garner from Fleetwood.

Will be announced soon.

Should give us some valuable experience in the forward areas.

When we beat you in the cup I thought you looked slow and leggy in midfield and though you could do with more energy and pace in there so doesn't seem like a signing that makes sense in my opinion of course.

We had him first in this league and he was great. What did you do to him?
Coaching perhaps? He was an average player in a poor L1 team.

Compare him our own emerging talent last season. This lot have come through our academy in the last couple of years.

Jack Rudoni sold to Huddersfield for a significant sum and he's ever present this season. Highly rated by their supporters. Admittedly Hudderfield are struggling.

Paul Kalambayi now ever present on the team sheet and doing well in defence.

Ayoub Assal about to be sold for northwards of £1m.

Then there's Ethan Chislett who took a couple of years to get going but he's finally coming good.

Clayton is a great professional but his legs have gone, he slowed our play down when he played. It’s been apparent since Schofield came in that he wasn’t in our plans, in respect wether it’s a good or bad thing for us depends on us getting a replacement, we needed one centre mid before he left, now it’s two, a striker and ideally a right winger, can’t see us getting all of them
