Journos reporting Wrexham manager Paul Parkhouse has just heard there's a few L2 clubs going after Johnson, so because "he must be good" they've tabled an offer of £1.7m with add-ons.

I've been told we're looking at signing Kieran Sadlier from Bolton - Probably on loan.

Central Midfielder Jordan Lyden signed until the end of the season:

We did need some cover there, must admit I thought he was at Barrow. Wellens going for players he knows.

He was on trial for a while - don't know if we offered him anything or Orient came in and nicked him.

We've recalled Connor Jennings from his loan at Altrincham. Can only guess he's got a permanent move lined up somewhere else, as he was doing well at Alty and was always well down the pecking order at EP.

Singh's mantra, save on two weeks wages and try and sign him on the 31st.

Random name came up in his press conference today, Jordan Cook! Fucker is still here, must’ve found him locked in cupboard somewhere
Good player always fecking injured though.

Brentford have recalled Nathan Young Coombes to continue with the Jan theme of ripping our squad to pieces.

James Balagizi recalled by Liverpool. Said tobe because of an injury....hmm.

In certain respects I hope it is to loan him somewhere else. First taste of real football and suffers two major injuries.

Lindsey has said we hope to sign a keeper before the game tomorrow

We have a director of football, two recruitment analysts and 1 keeper. I'm not sure but I think I can see a problem here.

Loans should be kept to a minimum of maybe 2 or 3. Clubs at this level should just concentrate on bringing player's through their academy's and playing them. If you rely too much on loans you have to rebuild the squad in January.

I would say that out of the 4 loans that have gone back to their parent club only Towler will be missed . Nathan young Coombes might've come good but hardly played because of injury. Maghoma started well but his performances fell away and Hudlin did next to nothing for us.

Exactly that although the defence seems to be working without Towler. Just need to score some goals.

Poor Alty getting absolutely rinsed this window. Colclough, Newby, Jennings... probably Mullarkey. Pretty sure they've lost another winger too?

He’s played a blinder here, 2.5 year deal playing on his doorstep, the likelihood of him being kept on here next season was zero, fair play to him, similar situation to Holohan.

Got 5 mins off the bench last game and has scored 1 in 9 - not sure he’s done that well.

Not all clubs, mine included, can afford academies, since the changes to the rules meaning bigger clubs can just hover their players up for peanuts. It’s a shame as all fans like to see a lad who’s been with you as a youngster develop into a first team player.

The 3 loans we had for the first half of the season are no longer with us. Two barely played due to injury, while Simeu was recalled to go to Morecambe. With our failing to recruit many during the current window, it looks likely Logan Chalmers will be the first of a few for the rest of the season

But anyone half decent is nicked by someone higher up the food chain so the product becomes poorer than it already is. And when you’re in an industry where 1 and 2 year contracts are the norm, you are consistently rebuilding your squad anyway. No one at this level is giving out 8 and a half year contracts
