Looks like we’ve let Harry Charsley out of the remainder of his contract and he’s now joined Newport. Did well for us last season but never got a look-in this time. Energetic midfielder who will run all day and not too bad with the ball either.

Felt he was unlucky this season, he played well when we had injuries and deserved more game time, I am glad he has left not because I didn't want him here but because he deserves to be playing football.

Will long remember his winner at Salford and played a decent part in getting us up last season when he came in. Should be a decent addition for Newport.

Honestly I’d have taken Charsley back, we need some legs in midfield currently but his game time would still be limited so no point from his perspective.

Pools apparently interested in Oli Finney from Crewe.
8 games this season & after breaking his leg last.
This isn't from my usual source,so could be complete bollox.
I think most Crewe fans would drive him there. He had his use in a very good team when we got promoted. Even then he scored alot of goals but he also missed a hell of alot of chances. Since his leg break though he's been useless. His confidence looks shot, and his younger brother who's unfortunately injured has surpassed him.

Not to mention realising that you can go down, do everything right on and off the pitch down there and still take years to get back up again because you had to engage in a transfers arms race to have a chance of automatic promotion, didn't quite make it and your season came down to a playoff game against Borehamwood which you lost 1-0.
Or even worse it comes down to a double header with Gateshead that is decided by a red card following a dive.

You're absolutely right though. 7 seasons combined down there for us in recent years and I'm struggling to think of a single side that would have got promoted in that time not operating at a loss (excluding player sales, a few might have achieved it that way).

We then came up and tried to do things sustainably and this ultimately lead to us going back down and probably doing so at a loss as we made a last ditch attempt to overhaul the squad. Hartlepool in danger of tightfisting their way back down this season too.

Move to Hartlepool just what he needs then.

We've signed centre back Jamie McCart on loan from Rotherham for the rest of the season:

Our young loaee keeper David Robson has returned to Hull (that sentance makes me shudder ). We got him in after our keepers were injured

Played a few times and was decent. Believe he is a Welsh u21/23. I must admit I thought he had let in a shocker at Colchester but when I saw the highlights it curled righti nto the corner.

Anyone picks him up I reckon he would do good job.

We've been linked to your other loan keeper Ellery Balcombe. We do need decent competition for Belshaw but never heard of this lad.

Interesting interview on our twitter from Clough on the situation. Says Johnson has said wherever he goes it will only be until the end of the season anyway. I think he'll end up staying here and hopefully score some goals for us now!

We've signed centre back Jamie McCart on loan from Rotherham for the rest of the season:

Never heard of him, but after a cursory bit of research I'm very happy with that.

Rumoured that other clubs were interested, a proper central defender which we need (despite never conceding), part of that double-winning St Johnstone defence, a few Championship appearances under his belt, all looks good to me.

We're probably a striker short, but I don't really see how we're going to find someone good as we already have Smith, Drinan, Ruel, Kelman (on loan), and Nkrumah.

Still, at least that's the defence shored up after Happe's nasty injury vs the Cobblers (real dirty lot them).

He was absolutely dreadful for us, didn’t command his area, couldn’t catch, poor shot stopper. The only thing he’s remembered for here is, Fleetwood put a cross into our box, Balcombe came to fist it away, completely missed it and knocked our captain Tom Anderson clean out

Something doesn't add up for me he was set to sign a two year deal until Mansfield pulled the plug and only allowed us to have him on loan.
No club at this level is going to pay a fee to have him for 6 months surely? Anyway I think we should move on now and wish him luck for the future done really well for us.

He played in our first game v Carlilse and was then injured until November.

Played a total of 12 games for us. Big unit and apart from one game decent with his feet (check twitter about worse corner routine). He may have had one of those must play clauses because Robson was doing well while he was injured.

He has definitely improved over what Dearne Valley rover saw. No calamities for us but no real wow moments either.

3 keepers and a keepers coach lost in January!

Did see it posted we might go back for Robson. Who wants to come to the circus?

If not we still have Addai who look really good...he looks as the ball flys into the net.

After being told the figures we get for being in this league this year compared to the NL last year, I can understand why clubs would push the boat out as far as they can to stay up here.
Our chairman has just been on local tv saying exactly that, he quoted the cost of relegation as literally millions. And then of course, you don’t know when (or even if) you’ll come back.

You have a decent player there. Been our regular left back all season, albeit covering for the injured Liam Ridehalgh.

We signed a left back on loan yesterday, so it was obvious either Foulds or Ridehalgh were on their way out
Feels like Foulds has been forced out to me. Ridehalgh is garbage and should've been shipped out one way or another because whilst Foulds isn't a world beater he's dependable.

Can we have him,he still sounds better than Calamity Killip.

Well we’ve signed Ben Nelson on loan from Leicester who was at 22nd place Rochdale and could hardly get a game and also James Brown from Blackburn who was at Stockport but got sent back when they bought Knoyle off us, bit ironic. Problem is we need a centre mid and a striker otherwise these two will struggle like the rest of our defence

I think generally our fans rated Brown as a decent loan signing but for some reason our manager was never on board.

I'm pretty sure it's just a terrible rumour account that's peddling that one. He was shipped out on loan as he wasn't first-choice for us.

He's not a bad player, but not sure if we've recalled him to cover a rumoured departure at left-back, or Dundee don't want him anymore.
