Finn-Cousin Dawson has gone to Blyth Spartans on a season-long loan. Not sure he'll ever make it here, to be honest.

Down to just the three right-backs now!

Freddie Draper from Lincoln.
Yep know bugger all about him only he was on loan at Drogheda last season and is a big strong lad not the best league to be able to judge him on a lot of teams are part time in the Irish league might ask the Lincoln fans on the League one forum.

We haven't seen too much of him either tbh, but I think most were expecting his next loan to be in the NL so it's move for him in that respect.

All that we kinda know having seen glimpses is that he's a strong lad who works incredibly hard.

Signed another long term deal here before signing for you so we obviously like what we're seeing behind the scenes.

When we were said to be interested that was my worries, and I wasn't overly upset when it seemed that he wouldn't be signing for us.

That said he's a player whose levels are some way above this league. It's a big risk but if it pays off he could be a huge player for you.
Gazumped, admit it

Tattoo removals busy in North Wales this weekend covering up those Nick Powell inks. They thought they had him didn't they?

Unreal alpha male move from us.

We just can't compete with moneybags County.

It's like when you stole Scott Quigley from under our noses. I don't think I will ever get over these disappointments.

I can't remember what happened to him?

Being called ‘the likes of Grimsby’ by the manager of NEWPORT COUNTY, really is quite something

I remember way back in 2011 when John Coleman said that his Accrington side "should be beating teams like Crewe".

We ended up getting promoted that season but it made me laugh. A little over 5 years before that we were in the Championship whilst they were slumming it out in non league.

Harry Clifton was at the Grimsby Borough match today but didn't play, fanning the flames of his departure a bit more.

Sounds like it’s true and 250k is rumoured which would be incredible business, even half of that would be good.

Good to see us actually being run like a business for once.

Yeah I thought we'd get about 150k for him. 250k when he's only got a year left is a great deal. Sad to see him go but he's by no means irreplaceable.

Where's he off? Always been quite impressed with Clifton. He reminds me of Collar for us who's linked with moves higher. Hard working midfielder, chips in with goals, good all rounder. Their qualities will be missed but not a controller who everything goes through so you're not as reluctant to let him go as long as you get good £.

Yeah that's exactly what he is. Ridiculous engine on him and I think he's played in just about every position for us except in net and CB at some point. He's off to Barnsley if the rumours are true. Should be a decent signing, he's improved no end over the last few years and there's always gonna be a place for players like him in L1/L2 squads.

223 appearances for us and he's only just turned 25, makes him comfortably our best academy graduate in terms of getting game time for us in my life.

I think his departure might signal a step towards a bit more of a technical midfield for us. We've now got Conteh, Hunt and Khouri all young and very good on the ball with Green providing the crunch and Holohan a bit of experience. Will be interesting to see who Clifton is replaced with, I suspect it will be a like for like but probably one who is a better with the ball and probably not as hardworking (purely because the likelihood is they just won't be as hardworking as Clifton as hardly anyone is).

The Mariners being forced to balance the books?

I didn't think much of him when he was in the Conference but he's still quite young and he's clearly improved a lot. Anyone getting goals from midfield will attract interest.

It makes you assume Hurst gave these signings the green light while he was pickled on his all inclusive in Greece. Probably got a shock when he read the finance sheet when he got back.

Barnsley front-runners apparently but in the background there’s obviously the dream of playing in front of 6 million every week at Bradford, the obvious issue with that is he’d have to sacrifice ever playing League 1 football.
