Swindon fans we’re signing Sol Brynn on a season long loan next week, apart from the blinder he played against us at the County Ground last season, what’s the overall assessment?
Great shot stopper. Distribution bit sloppy at times. Needs to command his area much more. Saved us numerous times last season. All in all, pretty damn good.

Clifton is a local lad who has played for us forever, our fans think he's better than he is purely because of this.

That said, he runs forever and can play in quite a few positions, and scores a few goals, he's a good Lge 2 midfielder, I'd be surprised if we got 6 figures for him, but we also don't need/want to sell him, and I can't see him wanting to leave us for another Lge 2 side.

Player will always be willing to join a fellow divisional rival if a lot more money is on offer.

I don't think Bradford will be offering much more than us though. He got a 2 year extension last season with a decent amount of fanfare after his best season at that time. Turned down FGR for that deal and we've offered him an extension again this summer, so reading between the lines if he's stalling I'd imagine it's because he wants to go up a division. But we'll see, he'd be a good signing for anyone in L2 so would be worth it.

No chance of us signing Grimsbys best player. Why would he want to move sideways to a league 2 club anyhow?
More like a downwards move as we’re finishing 11 places above you anyway remember.

Played every league game last season. Reliable shot stopper, good reactions. For his height you might expect him to control his box a shade better but overall he looks like a good, reliable keeper.

Of course, I was more thinking that because he is a local lad and this is his club, it would have to be a lot more for him to go to a club in the same league than someone else for example

Dallas apparently turned us down in Jan because he felt like he’d get a L1 move this summer, be funny if he rocks up in L2 anyway.

Think he’d be a good signing but wouldn’t be at all shocked if he totally flopped in the EFL either.

At this stage it looks more likely he'll end up back in the NL so a move to Walsall rather than Wealdstone would be unbelievable for him.

Bit like the bloke who hired a car as the same make and model of his own car and changed the tyres over. Saved loads!

Nick Powell confirmed
It’s either going to be a big success or a huge failure - I don’t really see anything inbetween.

If he can stay fit and is putting in 100% every game he should be too good for the division but it’s a big if.

The cynic in me thinks he is joining because he believes playing in league 2 will be a doss for a good wage and long contract.

Hope I am wrong and he has the same commitment as Paddy and Sarcevic did when dropping down the leagues.

I'll be very surprised if Powell lasts the full 3 years at Stockport given his lack of fitness and the fact he just doesn't enjoy the game.

Will get an excellent reception when he comes back here though. Any Crewe fan who boos him is a prized idiot. But I find it enormously sad that arguably one of our greatest ever players seemingly destined for big things back in 2012 is back in League Two before he's even turned 30.

A wasted talent and a career that will now be unfulfilled.

I just can't believe Stockport are paying Powell 15k a week. Unbelievable for this league.

When we were said to be interested that was my worries, and I wasn't overly upset when it seemed that he wouldn't be signing for us.

That said he's a player whose levels are some way above this league. It's a big risk but if it pays off he could be a huge player for you.

Be interesting to see where he plays for us as we don’t play with a 10.

115k losses per week now, a mere drop in the ocean.

The bucket makers in Stockport are going to make a small fortune in a couple of years time
