The person who posted it said he’s been told it’s 80% done, he’s normally pretty accurate with his info.

Can see it happening.

A few of our lot are a bit worried because we are after a striker and another ‘attacker’ like maybe someone in the Nichols mould but with Flint getting injured maybe that means we have to divert for a defender but I reckon JR will back Clough for whatever he needs.

We now have Alfie Kilgour, Elliot Hewitt, James Gale, Calum Johnson, Rhys Oates, Callum MacDonald and Aden Flint all out injured, massive chunk of our budget so this is when we are so lucky to have the owners we do.

Is Boateng still on the way out?

Played a bit more of a role off the bench recently, with injuries and suspensions now I’m not so sure(that’s if he ever was off), midfield is still our strongest department mind. I think we should keep him untill the summer unless we get a decent money bid.

Not the type of player we need but it never is with Clough in charge
He’s more of an advanced attacking midfielder, chipped in with ten goals last season. Not prolific but good for someone who plays where he does, we signed a striker last week so maybe that’s pushed him down the order a bit, but I like him and hope he does well wherever he ends up.

No issue with Tom but he just hasn't done anything for us this season. Lightweight, not that pacy, decent touch but never close enough to goal to be much of a threat. Oddly the most dangerous he's been in a GFC shirt has been from corners where he finds space at the back post quite regularly. Pretty sure Mansfield can do better than him if they consider themselves League-One bound.

Stockport County.
Kian Breckin from Man City has been training with us. Apparently us and City will make a decision on him tomorrow. If we're not sure he'd get games with us, looks like he'll go to Crewe or Notts.

It’s a weird one, I can’t really see how he gets games here either. We’re tripping over that kind of player.

And we'll be prioritising defensive reinforcements and maybe a keeper to replace Davies too so I can't see us in for Breckin either.

Looks like Ali Al-Hamadi is off to Ipswich. Medical taking place tomorrow somewhere in the middle east as he's taking part in the Asia Cup. All references to AFC Wimbledon have gone from his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Ipswich will deffo be pushing hard on this....after their 38 shots with zero goals against Maidstone yesterday.

He's not the finished article but he may have made the difference for them yesterday. Still not convinced that he's Championship or Prem level but I'll take the money if it unearths a gem.

What an intelligent chap. :bg:

Nah, just shows how footballers treat clubs, places of work.

If he goes, you will only beat us by 1 goal on Saturday instead of 3

Will be interesting to see what a top striker in L2 is rumoured to fetch with a move to a Championship club.
Reportedly around 1.75 million but that's not confirmed. It's probably about that figure. I doubt we'll see much of that invested back into the team.

Transfer now confirmed. That's the figure doing the rounds plus the deal "includes future incentives which could see the transfer become a record amount at League Two level".

Jay Williams centre/right back from Fulham. Certainly injecting some younger legs into the squad.

We've released 3rd choice right back Cheye Alexander. Just didn't need him anymore with the arrival of Hutton, hope he does well elsewhere.

But over £1m for any League Two player is crazy talk to some. Great piece of business for Wimbledon. Good work
Should've kept him until the end of the season to be quite honest. Contracts are irrelevant other than a bargaining chip when selling a player. Player's have all the power. If you support a lower league club that's just the way it is I guess.

Mildly interesting that Al-Hamadi commanded such a big fee, whereas Jake Young who has a similar contract situation and similar age can't meet an asking price alleged to be that amount divided by 3 or 4.
