Upgrading my concern level to ‘slightly concerned’ for Notts. Desperately need a couple of additions.

We clearly like having a small squad and it’s mostly served us well, but how have we got this far into January and our only attacking option on the bench on Saturday was ‘Will Randall’, whatever one of those is.

Mildly interesting that Al-Hamadi commanded such a big fee, whereas Jake Young who has a similar contract situation and similar age can't meet an asking price alleged to be that amount divided by 3 or 4.
Wycombe have a 25% sell on from Wimbledon.

Before this season Clough kept a squad of 18 ‘seniors’ then filled the other gaps with youngsters, always cost us although admittedly we had freakish injury lists too.

We’ve just done the same as last year, don’t think we fully took into account how much not being able to just go out and loan someone affected it. We were pretty lucky with injuries too and been the opposite this year with three senior pros with season enders and another two who get niggles so often they might as well have.

We’ve got a small squad - mainly because Clem is a tight twat. What’s the benefit? Fucked if I can see one.

Kian Breckin from Man City has been training with us. Apparently us and City will make a decision on him tomorrow. If we're not sure he'd get games with us, looks like he'll go to Crewe or Notts.

We didn’t give him much of a chance in fairness, but from what I saw he seemed like a classic Prem academy product who was not really ready for senior football from a physicality perspective.

That said, we’re a bit shit and struggling this season - and were also in a transitional phase of trying to be a bit more footbally and less hoofy when he was here…but we weren’t very good at it and have gone hoofy again.

Which probably isn’t the environment for a creative midfielder to thrive in, to be fair.

I think the theory is you don’t have players who aren’t really involved and not making matchday squads moping about the place and bringing the standard of training down etc, it’s fine until you get some injuries and suddenly need them.

We have a ridiculously large squad mainly due to injuries and stupid sentimental contracts, yet we really need a keeper and commanding midfielder although McCann doesn’t seem to see the need

MK fans, apparently we’re in for Mo Eisa on loan…Heard anything your end?
It's been said on our forum from a couple of sources that it's going to happen. It's no surprise if he's off. He doesn't fit in our team and he's too good a player to be a bench warmer. I thought we would try to sell him but probably no takers. I wish him well with you.

Rovers have a large squad of 31, a case of quantity rather than quality. Despite talk of reducing the squad, we extended short-term deals for Belehouan, Lacey, Pike, Robson and Starbuck to the end of the season. Of those, only full-back Dan Pike has seen much first team action.

I’d have thought Mo Eisa ticks a lot of the boxes Gills are looking for. Have we not enquired about him? We’ve been linked to every other lower league striker this window.

Maybe our leadership wined and dined him in your hotel at the stadium last Saturday.

Only from the usual, league wide suspects that have all but confirmed it.

Mo is a funny one, he was vital in League 1 and if he stays fit for the last few games of 21/22 we probably get promoted. This season he started off well and then just absolutely nose dived.

We need to have some conversations about Salford. Are they slashing their budget? Touray gone to a fellow L2 club, now Bolton. Their only January addition seems like a development project at best. Things just don't add up there. I can't see why Robinson would take the job unless he was promised funding. Are they planning on having a mad deadline day or summat? Or are they just hoping to scrape to safety and then have a strong summer?

Was decent for Salford last season, I'd still have him.

We're always linked with Watt and Hendry from them. Both could available in the summer, maybe even for free with contract situations. There was talk we bid for Watt this January but they knocked it back and were asking for big money so we parked it. Hendry just come back from an injury which has made him miss most of the season so far so that's more likely one for the summer to see how he comes back.

Good player, fast and direct. Improvement on the player you got from Solihull.
If he comes in, I think it means Forde's recurring injury is worse than we hoped. I can see Forde going, and he'd be a coup for any club at this level if he can find some fitness.

Forde would be first choice if he was fit but he seemingly never is, you could say the same for a lot of the squad. Tunnicliffe and Hayden I'd probably have as first choice all day long but they are always injured. Fletcher, TOC, EOC too are all first choice players but you just never know if they will be fit from one game to the next so can't rely on them. It's a bad joke by this point.

Barnett is still a very capable wingback and a good player but his output has certainly dipped at this level up, not producing anywhere near as much as last season. And he loves a niggle as well.

No doubt this Bolton will be taking up a hospital bed shortly after signing as well.

Been about three years since he was here but didn't get too much of a look in, probably not as much as he should have done at times.

He's very quick but relies a lot on space in behind to have an impact, he's not a tricky type of winger who'll chink past people. Under Appleton, teams rarely gave us that space so he was probably in the wrong kind of squad at the time - not to mention him being in competition with a trio of Brennan Johnson, Morgan Rogers and Jorge Grant for a season so you can see from those two names how he was going to struggle!

Matty Taylor on his way to Cheltenham apparently. Will reunite with Darrell Clarke.

That will be 3 strikers out the door this month after Morton got recalled by Salford and we sacked Deeney, so expect someone to come in over the next couple of days. We can't just rely on Stevens by himself.
