Nolan apparently interested in signing Ex-Newcastle & Wigan right back Ryan Taylor.

Sick note that would come at a high cost for us.

Wouldn't want him.

Sheez has been pouring his heart out on the radio about how much he'd rather have signed for us this morning, bless him.

We've signed Jake Taylor on a permanent deal from Reading.

I liked him when he was here in our relegation season in League 1, he didn't get many goals but he did alright for us.

Yep good signing that, capped twice by Wales recently and played 20 odd games for Reading in the Championship last season.

The only concern is that we have a number of attacking midfielders such as Holmes, Grant, Nicholls, Wheeler etc. Although I expect Wheeler to leave this wk, so Jake could be a direct replacement.

We're about to offload Mark Beck to Wrexham. Really hasn't worked for him, only 9 appearances since the summer and no goals scored.

Hakim Odofin, a 17yo who was on the verge of breaking into the first team has been sold to Wolves for £100k. A bit disapointed tbh,

Taylor should be a good signing for Exeter, he's probably a lower level League one player (though he just had a failed loan at Motherwell so maybe not). Main problem he has is that he needs to decide if he's a CAM, CM or winger.

He played a lot of games for us purely for the fact he was versatile and always put in 100%. Quality wise I don't think he was ever going to make it for our needs which is a shame as he's an academy player who I think also supports the club. His Welsh cap last season still baffles me.

Give him a good run in the team and he'll be more than good enough for L2.

On a scale of one to ten just how shit is he?

We barely have any strikers in our squad so anything is a bonus I guess.

Tisdale has said he (Taylor) needs to find his best position but initially will be used as an 'attacker'.

Long term I think he will prove a good signing at this level and will give us a decent option, but as you say, he needs to nail down a position.

He could be alright if he moves to non-league for a bit, it certainly hasn't worked for him at either us or Yeovil but if he gets a bit of confidence then he could be a great signing. The only time he's played consistently has been his loan to Falkirk and they were so impressed that they tried to buy him so there's something in there but unless you sort of adjust your attacking style to account for having a giant up front he probably won't do too well.

Gasheads - Lockyer and Taylor both been speaking to other clubs but neither will be going until the summer. No incomings until Wednesday at the very earliest.

Orient being linked with every player that's ever played within a 50-mile radius of Kevin Nolan. Yawn.

Latest bollocks is Reece Oxford on loan.

Absolute dogshit for us in League One last season. Had literally nothing about him and didn't once look like he had a clue what he was doing on s football pitch. Seemed like he'd wandered on by accident and everyone else was too embarrassed to say anything and just made sure the ball was at least 15 feet away at all times.

How do you know this JJH?

Unfortunately it was always going to be difficult to keep a player of Lockyer's quality and potential long-term unless we get promoted this season, but even then it would be a struggle to battle off interest from elsewhere. Why we didn't offer him a new deal last summer I don't know. Taylor I wouldn't be as fussed about. I really like him and think he's decent, but he isn't a star striker IMO.

He's on work placement with jp at the post.

It's hard for me to say because he's hardly featured for us. He was a Sturrock signing and there was a tacit admission from PS a couple of months later that he'd made a mistake. Way obviously doesn't rate him either.

Now confirmed as a season long loan.

We've finally managed to offload Mark Beck to Wrexham on a season long loan. He's added precisely nothing to our squad while he's been at Huish Park.

You got him on a 2 year deal didn't you? I bet CUFC couldn't believe their luck when you offered to take him on a permanent!

Northampton favourites to sign him.

Has there been a fresh development? We bid in the summer and Wilder confirmed an interest last week. So wouldn't be at all surprised to be signing him.

Not sure. Our local reporter is is always the man when it comes to info for us has said you are favourites so guessing talks between our 2 clubs are progressing the most. I expect him to sign for you lot.
