Kevin Nolan has confirmed we've signed Shaun Brisley from Peterborough - on loan I believe - but we may have paid money.....

Thing is with Brisley, Atangana, Jahraldo-Martin; these are the sort of players we should have been bringing in at the start to mount a promotion push. Instead we brought in Essam, Moore and Turgott. Nolan I won't include because he's beyond anything (on paper) we should be able to get. I think with these signings we're probably a good shout for the play-offs - especially if two more come in with the required quality - case of what could have been if we signed well in the summer.

I think that the majority of us were expecting a lot more this season of Leyton than we have seen...

Just goes to prove that it doesn't matter how good the players are if the club is run like a circus and the manager's a useless c***.

But then again we knew that from getting relegated last season - it's just that the teams in this division are (broadly speaking) so piss poor that we've managed to get away with still being in playoff contention.

Apparently he's coming to us. Don't know much about him, is he any good?

Joe Piggott joining us on loan tomorrow apparently. Striker who was at Southend last season and the first half of this one.

Not exactly an exciting goal record but I'll reserve judgment, it's not like we have much up front.

Scored the late, late equaliser against Wycombe Timewasterers in the playoff final last year. He's generally viewed as exceptionally average by the Gimpers.

Seen him play a bit before and he looked pretty average. I think we've been missing a bigger forward player for a while to take over the hold up type mantle from Benson and he isn't, or he didn't look it when I saw him, that type. We'll see what he can offer, not like the current players there are setting the world alight so hopefully he brings something.

I think CMS proved on Saturday that he can be the hold up and play off man when the ball is played on the floor. The only reason he has looked so ineffective is because we kept kicking it in the air all season. I don't think Benson will feature much to be honest. Pigott will probably battle with CMS and Marriott for the lone strikers role, especially while McQuoid is out as it leaves us a tad light in area we were already struggling. Reckon Pigott may be a good signing - NJ knows him really well from time at Charlton which is way Pigott has chosen is ahead of Oxford and Bristol Rovers

Gary Dicker having talks with Kilmarnock today. Deal should be completed later.

We have signed Rory Fallon on non-contract terms.

Move over League Two, the title is ours.

Pompey sign Kieron Freeman from us on loan till the end of the season.

Can play rb (or lb). Good going forward but can be suspect in defence but all in all hes a decent L1 defender so should do well in L2. Any more of our players you want Pompey?

Bit of a surprise this one, a midfielder and striker is what we really needed as we already have a good left back in Stevens and at right back Ben Davies whose become a fans favourite already so not really sure what the thinking is. Would Freeman really come down here to be cover or is Cook going to drop one of the above or possibly even move Davies up the pitch abit.

We could do with a target man so even though he's not well rated by your lot Sammon would do a job for us I expect.

Didn't realise you'd got Davies as well as McNulty and Doyle!

Davies often played Right mid for us, which I suspect Freeman could as well tbh. Freeman definitely wouldn't be going to you just to change the bench he sits on!

Sadly Sammon is on loan to us or I'm sure we'd love to send him your way. Maybe Michael Higdon instead?

Now been confirmed that Pigott has signed for us. Contract is up at Charlton at the end of the season so perhaps it's a sort of an extended trial with next season in mind as well.

Baldock has been recalled by MK Dons, which throws our name in to the relegation mix.

You'd assume Curle has someone ready and lined up then...

He's maybe bit the bullet and offered Bradford what they want, unless this Comley lad from QPR is up to the task.

A lot of people are kicking up a fuss over Dicker leaving, not sure why really. Yes he's a good player but he'll be on a massive wage given that Kav signed him and it's no secret that Curle has pretty much already been trying to replace him with Liddle anyway. If his wage is the difference between us signing someone Curle actually wants and not signing them then I'll happily see him go, only problem I could have with it is if he isn't replaced.

He's honestly the most overrated player we've had in years, some of our fans act like he's Championship quality, and think he should be in the team every week. He's simply a decent League 2 midfielder, and as above, probably on a hefty wage.

I'm hoping Curle has somebody lined up to replace him though.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks he's over rated.

The way people talk about his passing you'd think we had Pirlo playing for us.

Jimmy Spencer released. Reliably informed he's going to another L2 club. Well done, you've got yourself a very young good player if fit, but it's okay, we've got 34yo Jon Stead.

I give up.

Bristol Rovers I thought you'd have learned after signing Blissett. Ladapo is one of the worst players I've seen in a Harriers shirt and apparently Rovers, Hartlepool, Stevenage, Dagenham and Barrow want him. :fl:

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/01/2...ed-for-freddie-ladapo-dagenham-move-unlikely/
Almost 100% sure we won't be going for him thankfully - just media speculation. I'm very glad we're scouting non-league goalscorers but I knew I could remember Ladapo's name from somewhere and it wasn't because he was very good.

Bliss was a lovely bloke but a terrible footballer!
