You'll not read or hear a bad word said about Wright, he's served us well as a number two over the last three seasons and never really let us down when called upon. Been unfortunate in some respects that we've had four excellent (and international) GK's ahead of him in that time, albeit there was always an nagging feeling that he was never quite good enough to be a number one in L1 anyway. We've got a young GK who's been out on loan the last three seasons and will probably take that spot so it's been a natural move from our point of view.

Fair play to him for wanting to drop down a league and play games, though. Some are happy in the league above, not playing a picking up a wage.

Sounds like we've addressed a massive area of weakness. I liked Cartwright last seaaon but he was by no means the finished article. Not a fan of Eastwood really, but he's an adequate backup option. Hopefully a solid keeper will enable the likes of Rodgers and Mullarkey to kick on.
