Ollie Watkins is the one I'd like to see given Tom's place in the team. He showed a lot when coming off the bench in December and he's got the most potential to earn us another fee out of the options we have. That has to be our model.

I've only seen him the once and he looks far more technically gifted than Reid. It just concerns me that Tisdale doesn't seem keen to give him many opportunities but there was a time when Nichols couldn't make the bench so there's hope for Watkins yet.

Gary Liddle has signed for Chesterfield, whilst it looks as if Gary Dicker is having a medical at Kilmarnock. I said I'd be content with him leaving providing he is replaced, but our squad is looking weak at the moment.

And you've brought in our old goalkeeper Ryan Allsop. He was brought in as back up to Jamie Jones and Lee Butcher as they were both out injured, Allsop came in and was really impressive in League One. We offered him a new deal as he was only on a short term contract but he turned it down to sign for Bournemouth. Had a spell at Coventry and their fans were a lot less impressed, but he should be a good signing for you lot.

Apparently Mark Tyler was on the verge of joining Peterborough again until we pulled the plug at the last minute. He's just come out and said how gutted he is and wants to go when the loan window opens which is disappointing to hear.

Interesting to hear this is how our window has been perceived though. We have three out, three in and another re-signed after a loan move. Given that our best player has left, I'm actually a bit worried we haven't done more.

I think Northampton have had a blinder though. Without doubt, Wilder's strength is his signings.

He's useful. A bit lightweight and unselfish, but not without talent. Needs to work on his final ball.

Been really impressed by Northampton's business. Danny Rose isn't a bad signing. Sad to see him go actually, been a good servant to the club. Just not in the same class as Lundstram and Sercombe. Partnered Sercombe well early on though, and was good cover across midfield. Would have thought he'd go somewhere where he'd be first choice? Assume he won't be at Sixfields?

Be interesting to see how Hoban does. Had a great scoring record in Ireland, and holds the ball well, but had a nightmare in front of goal for us when he was starting games last season. Off the bench this year he's not been horrific at all, but still wasteful at times and hasn't justified a place in the first eleven. Not a bad player by any means though.
