What utter garbage, learn to read properly. I'm well aware of our history I've been supporting Donny since 1970. I'm not of the opinion that we will piss the league either. The comment I was referring to was the likes of Doncaster as if in some way any side in this league is bigger than any other, I mentioned the Championship as that's what we got every week by those bigger clubs to which I again took exception too. Get off your high horse and see the post as it really is.

My advice would be to stop being such an easily damaged delicate flower. To be injured by a comment such as "the likes of" shows a lack of security.

Everything will be alright, don't worry, it's only a game.

Our signings have started to gather a little bit more pace this week with a few additions, meaning we've now added Luke Prosser (Southend), Denny Johnstone (Birmingham) and Brennan Dickenson (Gillingham). Of those, Dickenson sounds the most promising from what comments I've seen from the Gillingham end. Prosser should bring some experience at the back and Johnstone had a good year in Scotland last season with plenty of youth on his side.

We've also brought in Ben Wyatt (Maldon & Tiptree), Dexter Peter (Millwall) and Courtney Senior (Brentford) for the U21s, presumably looking to push for a senior place over the course of the season.

Still need three or four more really I should think.

I bloody love the way Dickenson plays. Properly whole-hearted player, quick and powerful runner, wicked cross on him as well. Not the finished article by any means but most Gills would've kept him for sure.

Bolarinwa confirmed and we've also signed James Berrett from York, 2 year deal. Are these York players we've signed any good?

Berrett was at Carlisle for about 5 years too. Not really that inspiring that we've now signed 3 players from teams relegated to The National League but I'll reserve judgement until I see them in a Town shirt a few times.

If he was keeping Garmston out of the side then that's a good sign to me. Sounds like a good replacement for Massey.

Oh god, if you're not 100% positive then we're fucked. I need to look at our squad because right now it seems like when you go clothes shopping for your holiday the week before and end up spending £150 on H&M t-shirts, most of which you'll wear a few times before they go all baggy around the neck.

Garmston's a better defender, but despite being lightning quick isn't that effective further forward. We tended to play Dickenson against the weaker teams as there'd be less defending to do and he always put a shift in. Looked far better running from deep than playing as an out and out winger though.

I confess to be being really disappointed that we didn't keep Dickenson.
He is very quick, physically quite strong and delivers a good ball in the box.
You can also play him pretty much anywhere on the left hand side. As has been alluded to he is better in the opposition's half than his own.
He is still young and learning and I can't help feeling that this is one of those that could come back to bite us up the arse, a bit like Mahlon Romeo.

We're signing winger Tom Bolarinwa from Sutton United, 3 year deal.

Gutted to see Tom go, but not overly surprised. Key part of our promotion team, can play on either wing, not afraid to take an opponent on (and beat him), and contributes key goals. Good luck Tom

Summerfield is good but very inconsistent,Berrett is at very best is ok but does have a good shot,he doesn't work any way near has hard enough and glad he has gone, would of liked to have kept summerfield though,I dont mean to be funny but who is your scout?everyone who watched York last season worked out how poor our midfield was and they both don't work together, hence why we finished bottom, hope I'm wrong because it took you a long time to get out of that league and your a proper club but not sure about your signings,

Thanks. I'm uninspired by some of the signings but also very happy with others so I think we'll have enough about us to do okay. Hurst does have a knack for making uninspiring signings and turning them into crucial parts of the team though. Jon Nolan probably the finest example, he left Lincoln and was said to have a shit attitude and a shit work rate, Hurst signed him and he went on to play one of the biggest parts in our promotion, if not the biggest. Hurst will have done his homework on the signings he's made, especially to give some of them 2 year deals which is not something he does often. Or maybe he's underestimating this league. We'll find out soon enough.

Both are technically good,if you play one with a strong defensive pairing would be good but not together,

Berrett was really good for us in his first 2 seasons. Scored goals, created goals, I thought he was destined for the championship. Then he turned absolutely shit.

If you get the best out of him you have a superb attacking midfielder. But I don't think he's been at his best for about 4 years now.

Mawouna Amevor leaves Notts, sort of a shame as he was clearly talented but possibly the least suited defender to lower league English football you'd ever see. I think the foreign lads were all on decent money too so good to get those of the wage bill. A shame they'll be much maligned as Aborah, Swerts, Valencic, Snijders and Amevor were all okay-good signings in my eyes - only Jenner and Sprockel were outright failures.

Great to hear Sheridan's a fan of Aborah too and won't go full Brexit on him like that creepy mess of a man Jamie Fullarton. Split on Snijders, he's one you'd definitely keep hold of and give a chance of not for the fact he's supposedly a high earner.

We've signed Max Clark from Hull City on loan for six months. He was with us at the end of last season and was a big factor in us going on our unbeaten run. Can play left back and central midfield.

Great delivery from set pieces.

We've signed midfielder Otis Khan from Barnsley, haven't heard of him but he seemed to have a decent spell at Barrow last season (4 goals and 3 assists in 8 games). I imagine he came recommended by Lee Johnson.

He was also on Ninja Warrior.

Alex Nicholls rumoured to have signed a 2 year deal elsewhere. Reckon he will do a good job for someone in this league....who's in the market for a winger/ forward?

Apparently we were in for both Devitt and Miller but couldn't compete with Carlisle, which is understandable. Frustrating situation with Miller, we had him on trial for a chunk of last summer but opted against signing him.

We've held talks with over 40 players but have currently signed just two - solid conversion rate.

Jonathan Forte agreed terms, will be confirmed tomorrow. Knight-Percival shouldn't be long after.

No idea what Forte's fitness/form is like these days but he's been superb for us over three loan spells. We would've been promoted to the Championship if Sheffield United didn't ruin his face the other year with a few games left IMO.

Notts are steadily putting together a decent looking squad. Knight-Percival in particular, would be a great addition to this league.

Purely for sentimental reasons I'm delighted that the world has righted a terrible injustice and finally made Jonno Forte a Notts player. As said, no idea what his fitness is like or if he's deteriorated a bit physically but Sheridan will be aware of that having had him at Oldham last season (I'd probably be against this signing if not for that).

Also easy to overlook the fact that he bizarrely turns into Pele whenever he pulls on a Notts shirt. That first half hat-trick away at Charlton with Judgey pulling the strings is still possibly the most optimistic I've ever been about a Notts side - alas it all came crashing down and Curle signed Enoch Showunmi in the summer.

Are we really signing NKP? I'm out of the loop on Twitter now but I had a search at lunch and he was talking to Southend then.

I thought it was a slight push Devitt joining us, considering he was top assister and with us having only finished 10th, so I doubt he would ever have gone much further down last season's table barring a big financial offer.

Miller would've been a good signing for you, not sure how much game time he'll get for us with Ibehre and Wyke challenging for the striker spots and one more probably to come.

Just noticed that Bolarinwa is Moses Odubajo's brother. If he's got half his brother's talent and attitude you'll have a cracking player for this level.

I know Calamity Jones and his chronic shoulder injury is one of the signings - who's the other?

Love Jono Forte, what a guy. Hope he still has a bit of pace left.

That hattrick was a thing if beauty. Simply brilliant first half that. He also stretched defended in a way we haven't had since he was last here

I didn't count Jones as he was with us last season. We've Andrew Fox from Peterborough and Matthew Godden from Ebbsfleet.
