We've signed Tom Eaves on a permanent deal after his release by Bolton and Liam Shepherd on a 6 month loan from Swansea, his 3rd loan spell with us.

Looks like we are going to be missing out on Nathaniel Knight Percival to Bradford

Jamal Campbell-Ryce to Luton possibly.

Blimey how old is he? Seems like he's been around forever. Who's this injured player of yours rumoured to be out for the season?

He's 33, played 27 games at League One level last year but I'm never keen on signing older players (especially wingers reliant on pace). Not convinced it is him though.

Who's this injured player of yours rumoured to be out for the season?

No-one knows for sure but the most popular rumours so far are Mackail-Smith or Nathan Doyle. Harsh to say but I wouldn't be overly concerned losing either of them, neither contributed much last season (Doyle nothing actually, he was widely assumed to be on the way out this summer anyway). Can't fault CMS for work-rate but no goal threat these days, doesn't fit a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 and would be back-up to Hylton and Marriott even if we play two up top.

Another signing now in Doug Loft. I know he was decent a couple of years ago but no idea what he was like last season.

Injured mostly. He has ability, but he's a bit reckless. Good left foot on him though, will probably excel at League Two level. Out of the two you've signed off us I'd have rather kept Dickenson.

Fair enough, I was under the impression his legs were starting to go a little. To be fair, the best thing he can bring is experience as he is a signing over the age of about 21 so that's a positive!

Alex Nicholls from Exeter and Ryan Watson from Leicester also signed today.

Don't know much about Watson, but happy with Nicholls and Akpa Akpro.

Think Nicholls is a good signing for this level, he was ace to us prior to his awful injury. Ryan Watson was very good for us the first time around. We had him on loan in 2014 I think and he was excellent. Able to put his foot on the ball and pick a pass nicely, a good footballer. He had a bad injury I think in pre season for Leicester and was out for ages. We have him on loan briefly last year and Watson 2.0 was not the same. Tried to take too much time on the ball which often led to him being dispossessed. I think he can recover his form again though, think its a good signing.

You've got a good player there in Alex Nicholls. Can play wide or through the middle. Has good movement and is pretty quick. In an ideal world I'd like him to have stayed but we do have a number of players in his position already so can see why he moved on.

Dom Vose signs for us on loan for the season, with the option of a recall in Jan. Very pleased!

Great signing. He's a magician, someone you actively look forward to watching each week.

Jonathan Forte signs from Oldham having turned down a contract offer.

His third spell with us having been st Notts twice on loan previous scored 2/3 hattricks with us and seemed to always play better in our side.
A little older and has had a few injuries but should do well at this level with McCleod and Stead

Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro confirmed as signed

Great lad, works very hard, but generally he can't hit a bull's arse with a banjo. He's far more likely to score when he has no time to think as he's probably the worst striker I've seen when one on one with the keeper.

Pair him with a goalscorer and his general contribution will certainly be an asset to your team though.

Official confirmation today that it was Nathan Doyle - ruptured achilles so out for the season probably. Also confirmed that CMS has had a fracture in his foot pinned so will be out for 3 months ish.

Neither great losses as I mentioned above but we could do with a couple of signings now - without those two, the squad we are taking to pre-season is just 21 players, 5 of which were with the youth team last season. Big risk to go forward with a squad like that so hopefully the one or two impending deals that Jones has mentioned come off before they fly out on Sunday morning.

James Dunne has signed the deal offered to him in May. I would say Dunne is just as important as Corr in our team. Delighted with this.

Good player is Dunne....always liked him when we were in L1. Just the sort of player we lack....

JCR can be great, but he's one of the most frustrating players i've ever seen us have. 1 game in like 6 he is absolutely unstoppable, the rest he either beats a man and then waits to try and beat him again or shanks a cross into the stands. On balance, though, he'll be decent at this level.

Our head of recruitment says we're expecting another signing in the next 2 or 3 days, sounds like another good one: 'The player is from a higher division with great calibre and has moved for money in the past'

I'm only slightly ashamed to say that when I first heard it was those two injured that my immediate reaction was relief. Knowing our luck I was fully expecting it to be Jack Marriott.

We have taken Dean Parrett off stevenage

He's a good player, was very influential for us under Westley's management but he went off the boil last season. He started to show signs of improvement towards the end of the campaign and I'd have definitely preferred to keep him than lose him. Peterborough were in for him in January whilst Westley was their manager but the move failed to materialise.

In Whelpdale and Parrett you've signed two of our better players, would be happy with both of these signings if I was a Wimbledon fan.
