That's exactly the version that we got. Certain games he was truly on it and fully committed, a real handfull; but then he'd disappear, get grumpy, miss sitters and generally carry a lousy attitude. There's a player inside there somewhere, it's just that nobody has managed to coax it out of him, least of all Vadaine himself.

As for one of the worst strikers to ever play for us??... What a load of arse that comment is. He wasn't even the worst striker we had in that particular dreadful season. You're clearly a very youthful supporter WH.

I didn't think we had any forward of note that season :ohm:.

Palmer and Fisher, Oliver and Bingham - good lord, those upfront as forwards could have been done for the trade description act

And Chris Tate is the worst i've saw (the crap ginger haired lad we got from Orient I think - around 2005). Had his first shot at goal go out for a throw-in - it was (somehow) all downhill from there

And you're missing Hearn, Kee and Carr off of that list too Adam. Oliver was infact the highlight in our worst goalscoring season in history. So that makes him seventh worst just in 2014-15.

Can we change the subject now please. <shiver>

You mean Hearn who basically never played, Kee who was shit for us but then turned decent for Accrington as well.

That Oliver was part of that squad that finished 21st, then the York one which went down without a trace suggests he shouldn't be a league player.

My bad. I thought he was left footed, as I seem to remember him playing on the left side?
As right footed as they come - but quite often played left of a front three and enjoyed cutting inside. There is a very talented player in there, he just doesn't show it enough. Can go anonymous for 3/4 games, and then rock up when Sky TV are around and knock 2 past Orient.

Will show flashes of brilliance every now and then, will win Luton the odd game, but I'm personally glad we didn't sign him back as had been rumoured. Saying that - we did shove him out wide for most of his time here, and I would say his best position is that famous role in behind the striker. Seemed a nice lad though - which is obviously the most important attribute.

Luke Medley, Rob Duffy, Kyle Perry, Oliver is like Higuain compared to some of our strikers in the conference days.

Just the concept of the conference makes me shudder

Adi Yusseff has gone to Crawley on loan. Shame, he's got the potential but at nearly 25 he's going nowhere because he can't be arsed. It's all on him IMO and after his Mickleover performance think Murray has realised. Hope we will be bringing in a replacement and not putting too much pressure on Young Zayn Hakeem just yet.

He's still 23, 24 later this year which is still young. Hopefully this will help him and he'll come back with a better attitude.

If Crawley can get a tune out of Adi then they have a natural goalscorer on their hands. The problem is clearly in his head: he's lazy and never seems to get himself fully fit; now he feels that he should be first choice without doing anything to justify his thinking.
It might just be the reason why he dropped out of the Football League in the first place.

Maybe Adi will go on to prove his potential? There's enough Stags fans who are disappointed with this but frustrated that Adi hasn't done himself many favours thus far.

Not a signing but we've sent Tom Meechan out to WSM on loan until January, not quite sure what that's going to do for the lad but yeah ok.

I don't really get how footballers have such a poor attitude. He'd be doing something that most lads would move to do.

He also must realise that from our level down its pretty much the abyss, he's an idiot

Most footballers aren't renowned for their ability to think.

 Unbelievable scenes Jeff. Jon Stead and Vadaine Oliver what a partnership.

You're terrible at hiding jealousy. Jon Stead using his pace in behind and down the channels partnered with Oliver's predatory instincts is no laughing matter. The only unbelievable scenes Jeff will be if a defender in this shite league can contain them.

(don't mind it, he's 4th option and we lack someone we can just launch it to if need be, Stead is tall but he is fucking abysmal in the air...and on the ground...and with the ball...and without the ball)

We had all of those, too (well, not Higuain!).

Duffy managed to wreck his ankle 20 minutes into his debut away at Newport and was never seen again.

Surprised Oliver is being labelled as lazy. One of his best attributes here was his work-rate. David Holdsworth, managerial genius, perhaps?!

Did you get him on the pitch much last season? He didn't seem overly arsed about putting in the work to get himself fit here.

In League 2 he's one of those midfielders that just kind of exists. Not really noticeable on the pitch. He's a typical Premiership U21s type player who will pass sideways all day and not too keen on going in hard. Not too bad an option if back up. Otherwise far too lightweight.

He scored 5 goals for us last season as a substitute. He often came on and looked a real handful, but you know what Luke, the guy never made a single starting XI and that could only really boil down to his fitness issues - the kid was blowing out of his trumper after last 20mins cameo appearances. Now he seems to think that he should be playing ahead of Green, who is the model pro, bags goals and the fittest player in the squad. There's simply no comparison between them.

Adi clearly has ability but must have a dubious mindset. He might just be one of those classic individuals who isn't deserving of his ability ? Either that or we're all about to be proven wrong.

As for that crime list of strikers that we've shared, that proves that you've served your time down there, time to come home for your lot methinks.

How about signing Luke Medley as the final component of our play-off challenge in League 2 in 08/09?! That went well, didn't it?

I suspect there are plenty more we've shared from Conference days, in large part due to Holdsworth and his 'dossier'.

On the subject of Perry...

iamkyleperryIt seems my season at Worcester FC has finished before it has even started! Agreeing a contract in May and then bombed 4 days before the start of the season is a new one and not cool! But "Thats Football" as the numpties say. #FreeAgent #No1BestsellerBook #SignMeUp #HeadlossCity

No,

His workrate was lamentable, and his performance the other night seemed to be the last straw. It appeared his attitude just wasn't there and the manager gave him a fair go, but has had enough.

Murray is very into this team spirit malarke, and someone like Adi just doesn't fit the bill on that front
