I suspect there are plenty more we've shared from Conference days, in large part due to Holdsworth and his 'dossier'.

On the subject of Perry...

iamkyleperryIt seems my season at Worcester FC has finished before it has even started! Agreeing a contract in May and then bombed 4 days before the start of the season is a new one and not cool! But "Thats Football" as the numpties say. #FreeAgent #No1BestsellerBook #SignMeUp #HeadlossCity

Fat Kyle Perry?.....Now there's a name with a rightful claim towards the heir of amongst our worst strikers ever.

Jordan Houghton confirmed on a six month loan from Chelsea. We are also trying to get Lloyd Jones on loan from Liverpool before Saturday.

Signed Darius Henderson out of the blue.
A huge gamble that from Murray, his fitness and value for money has been horrendous for the last 3 seasons, he is a player very much on the decline.

We signed him on £10k a week 2 years back - he only played 4 months of a 9 month season, he was literally injured for 5 months. It was extremely frustrating as we desperately needed him, when he did play for us he was useful I thought, providing you played to his strengths - good hold up play and very useful from set pieces. He got 8 goals in 17 games for us - His last goal came away at Crewe in April 2015.

Our owner binned him off last summer after only 1 season into a 3 year contract, he was simply awful value for money and none of us blamed him.

Scunthorpe apparently took him on £8k a week last season - They binned him off halfway through the season, for the same reasons I believe - He spent far, far too much time on the treatment table. He then did the same thing at Coventry, he failed to score at all last season.

Personally, I think if he was to get fit he'd do a job at this level, easily. But he has been a walking crock for 3 years now.

I wouldn't be suprised if in a few months time the Mansfield fans will be saying the same thing about him - "Poor value for money and always injured."

That's an interesting insight. I can't imagine that we'll be paying him anything like those figures to be honest.

As for a gamble, to replace Adi Yussef we need somebody who can get through about 20 minutes a week. We'll see, though his recent history isn't lost on most Stags fans.

IF Henderson can stay injury-free and IF we can keep Green, that's seems a very good strike force.

Rumours suggest that Henderson is on a pay when play deal.

Paving the way for Green's move to Essex
From one of the Directors at the club -
I think this is a really positive signing we have made .It gives us that Plan B in the squad using a big man up top .We have the Green and Rose partnership. We have Hoban to throw in the mix with his hold up play and now Henderson to give us that big man option .We also have the young lad Zayne to mix it up and he will learn a hell of a lot while working with experience.
All very positive and sets the season up nicely .

No mention of Green leaving ;)

Apparently we've signed Jamal Campbell-Ryce....

Jamal! He'll be great in this league. Does a lot of dribbling around in circles and beating four men before shanking it out, though.

People think of Henderson as the traditional targetman but he really isn't. His aerial ability and vision are actually quite poor. His touch is pretty good for a big man, though, and he is very good in and around the 18-yard-area. His problem is that when he isn't scoring he doesn't contribute much.

don't ask me how or why but paul Jones has left and signed for Norwich. bit of a bizarre one not the best of keepers in league two let alone up there.

He's hardly going to say Green is leaving when they've yet to agree a fee. Imagine if he said Green is leaving, and then Carlisle or whoever else pulled out of negotiations tomorrow. It would all look silly.

Serious??

I quite liked Jonah but he's not exactly cut out for that level. PeteUSA (exewebs resident goalkeeping pundit) is going to choke on his cornflakes when he hears about this.

Using the savings made on Jones wages by bringing in Buxton from Stanley and Hunt from Southend.

Signed former academy keeper O'Brien as cover.

Said the same last week, but that must be our transfer business wrapped up now.

good day of business then. Jones always struggled with low shots and didn't command very well. just need to keep Forde fit.

We have signed Easah Suliman, 18 year old centre-back from Aston Villa on a 6 month loan. Also loaned a young keeper from a Premier League club to be revealed later.

Hunt's a good signing, although I hope its not too much money seeing as we have Smith, Main & Chaplin already.

Don't know too much about Buxton other than Cook knows him from Stanley, expect him to be cover for now.

As for Jones going to Norwich, didn't see that coming. 3rd choice keeper for Norwich at best? He's made a few mistakes here and there but there is a good keeper in there, after last season though the fans, and Cook weren't confident enough in him.

Not a transfer as such, but Plymouth manager Derek Adams has signed a new 4-year contract.

We've signed Max Crocombe, a keeper who Oxford have let join us on a free. Seems to be relatively well thought of there with plenty of fans saying he wasn't really given a chance. Only 22 as well so another one of Curle's 'projects'.

He does have surprisingly good ability on the ball. Scored a couple of absolute corkers for us.
Pity he can't jump, pass, run or stay off the treatment table. He will be useless.

As for the other ex-Orient boys, Campbell-Ryce will do a job at this level still. Loves running down blind alleys and losing the ball and his crossing is shite, but he's astute enough to time his runs into the back post well and will get a few goals as a result.

And Paul Jones to Norwich is absolutely baffling. He's essentially a less good Glenn Morris. And Morris is a shite Conference keeper.

We signed Easah Suliman on loan from Aston Villa yesterday. 18 year old centre-back who has captained the England u17 an u18 teams.

We're expected to announce Russell Griffiths from Everton today on a loan as our number 1 keeper.
