Nathan Jones reaffirming last night that none of our players are for sale and that we don't need to sell. Definitely been interest in some of our younger players. I can't help thinking Cameron McGeehan is one of those generating the interest - 4 goals already from midfield, as well as 14 last season. How often does a 21-year old goalscoring midfielder come about?

He definitely has attitude issues. Dagenham away last year when he demanded to take a peno he'd won even though he wasn't the designated taker and promptly missed. We went on to draw the match which we should have won easily is where it all went wrong. Think the other players and the manager lost a lot of respect for him, never mind the supporters

And right on cue...

If they stretched to £600,000 I'd probably sell. We bought him for £180,000.

His all round game frustrates me sometimes but he is a goal scoring midfielder so is bound to get attention. Id hope we keep him for this season and sell in the summer. Not sure of his contract situation but if he carries on with his goals and gets a similar total to last year, which i don't see why he wouldn't at the moment, I think we could get more for him then.

Wouldn't sell for less than £1m which they will never bid. Basically say not for sale until next summer. Barring a bad injury his value will only go up.

He's still got 2 years to run on his contract, but that will be 1 year next summer and unless we extend it again between now and then, we're virtually resigned to losing him. Norwich also get a "significant" proportion of his transfer fee, which I originally forgot about, so it would take a bigger offer than that to probably test Luton.

It was always going to happen eventually. He signed a lot of rubbish but John Still knew what he was doing with Cam. Personally, I don't think he is Championship quality yet and we know from what he has said he isn't interested in being a squad player or playing Under-21 football. Furthermore as we have a strong chance of promotion this year I wouldn't see the logic of selling to a League 1 club. Add in to the that the fact he is happy here and we don;t want or need to sell, I don't see it happening.

Literally no idea what we're doing buying Gambin (unless Becchetti is trying to flog Cox behind everyone's back).

Rumours circulating we are going to sign Josh Simpson. Our ex captain and free agent as the green machine released him.

He has had injury problems over the last two seasons but when fit he is definitely good enough for this level.

He was still poor when he was fit in my opinion, just a completely nothing player with no attributes going for him whatsoever, slow, weak, couldn't shoot, only seemed to be able to pass sideways or backwards, and just jogged without any effort around the pitch anonymous (aswell as being constantly injured), apart from that...

Once every 5 games or so he might do a good pass or something but even without his injuries we still wouldn't have kept him

So Gambin rejects Orient, but Teddy Mézague sign on a three year deal. 26 but has played in the top division of France and Belgium. Some people aren't happy as he's not going to be fit for a while as he's out with a cruciate.... Nobody knows what he's like however, could be an excellent signing.

Now bring anger about how Becchetti is destroying the club. I mean, yeah, some of the stuff he does is beyond my comprehension, but this ain't one of them.

Giving him a 3 year deal when he is out until the new year doesn't bode well with me I'm afraid - should've been an 18 month deal IMO. We are now left with one centre back as cover and he is 18 years old - who will make mistakes. Which as you can see after Saturday, our fans love to get on young players backs when they make their first mistakes.

Thing is though he may well be exceptionally good in which case the deal would then be a no brainer. Loads of people are seemingly pissed off without knowing what he's like which is what I don't understand. He has an excellent pedigree by the looks of it.

The Gambin bid proves there's still money left, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we brought in a loan CB until January, that would make sense

Curle has said he's keen to bring in up to three new players, one of those is probably Alex Gilliead on loan from Newcastle.

Drummy confirms we are after another 'starting' midfielder but it doesn't sound as though it's Josh Simpson.

As for Simpson's performances with Argyle I can't comment but he did well for us from conference to League 1 and it was only his injury and his wage demands after the money ran out that prevented us trying to re sign him for league 2. I'd imagine his wage demands have come down after two seasons of hardly playing so it's just the injury I would worry about. But its not him anyway.

Looks as if we are signing Frazer Richardson on an initial 2 month deal to cover the injury crisis we have, nailed on that he gets carried off halfway through his debut then. We are still hopeful of signing a striker but no idea who.

Luton said to be about to sign Jack Senior, a left back from Huddersfield's U21 side, on loan. Needless to say know nothing about him but we do need cover at left back so the signing would make sense.

We've also rejected a formal bid for Pelly Ruddock from Leeds according to HITC. No idea what our valuation for him would be, but as with McGeehan I would hope we can resist selling until next summer.

Looks like we will be making a fair old whack at some point in the near future anyway, going to get asset stripped to fuck in the next 12 months.

Not sure what I'd sell him for either. Probably £400,000 + add ons(?) - I don't think he has as much potential as McGeehan, because of his injury problems. If you asked me that question back in 2014 however, I would've said he'd be a potential PL player.

It's a tough call, after last season I was pretty close to giving up on him truth be told and it seemed touch and go whether he'd even get a new contract at one point, so to be talking about big money only a few months later is quite the turnaround. As you say, we always knew he had immense potential but it looked like he would never fulfil it after the last couple of seasons.

So on the one hand it would be tempting to cash in while his stock is high again, there's always the worry that he might break down again and his value would only go down if he has another injury-hit season.

On the other hand, he's been our most important player this season, and we'd struggle to replace what he has offered now he is fully fit, in consistent form and nailed down a proper position in the team - even if we had the whole summer we couldn't get what he does at this level, never mind with a day left. He's not a natural goal-scorer like our other two major saleable assets so his value may never be as high, but he's got physical attributes and skill that the other two can only dream of. Right now he's probably the best equipped to immediately adjust to the step up IMHO, and if he can finally have a full season and maintain his early form his value will sky-rocket, he really has looked a class above at times so far this season.

I'd like to think that we wouldn't be tempted unless we got a comparable deal to the Gray one (even though he's not as good as Gray, our negotiating position is a lot stronger and selling so late in the window would be a real blow).

Hmmm. Am I right in thinking that this is a bit of a faux pas for Doncaster? That you can't extend a loan outside a transfer window, as per the new rules?

Brad Halliday signed from Middlesbrough on a long term deal for an undisclosed fee. Accrington and Hartlepool fans - thoughts?

I think NJ made pretty clear post Cambridge that our young players aren't available. Maybe he was trying to push the price up but then he'd then have to buy late in the window and pay over the odds himself which doesnt make sense. I don't see anyone leaving before the end of tomorrow. If we have dropped off the pace by the time January comes around, maybe, but I see us moving forward with this manager and this group of players.
