Really not worth getting annoyed about is it? He's just replaced a guy who has played 20 minutes of league football all season and couldn't get in the team even with Hylton out suspended. I'm sure Palmer will get minutes here and there but it's obvious he's come to warm the bench. We've got the best front two in the league so who the fourth striker is doesn't overly concern me.

At any rate, Palmer has scored more goals this season in 1,025 minutes of league football than CMS did in 2,188 minutes of league football last season. Not exactly a huge downgrade in goal threat is it?

George Waring basically confirmed, doesn't inspire me at all. If we're left with him, Jabo and S. Miller I wouldn't be very confident for the rest of the season.

Rhys Murphy signs for Crawley on loan until the end of the season. Drummy lied. He said the deals were over.

He has not been getting in the FGR side in the national league and had been loaned out to York City for most of the season but he was really good for us when on loan last season so I'm hopeful he can do well again.

We do need another striker as Matt Harrold has been injured all season. Having said that I do expect him to be on the bench though as Collins is our number one and he's on a three year deal.

Also, Chris Arthur has gone out on loan to Woking for a month. The bench will need someone else to keep it warm for a while.

Aren't target men supposed to be able to a) hold the ball up b) win well-directed flick-ons and c) be able to control a long ball on their chest or feet and d) be capable of bringing others into play once c) has been accomplished? Because he is fucking shit at all of them.

He's really good at running quite quickly towards opposition defenders and deflecting their clearances off for throw ins.
