No, but you are still more concerned with whether he can score goals at this level next season. And if he did and you got promoted and you didn't fancy taking a chance on him at League 1 level, you'd get 300k back if you decided to sell him, at least.

We didn't see that Liam Noble at all last season, matured massively when given the captaincy, a very class player who gave us 100% every game, really hope he stays.

I agree with what you're saying because every time I've seen Akinde play up here for Barnet he's always looked as if he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo. So how he ends up as one of the league's top scorers for a second consecutive season is quite incredible.

This season out of his 27? goals far fewer were from the spot. question is how much are 27 goals in L2 worth? (second question is whether that is the same as what's he's worth to Barnet ie cost of relegation - c. £1m

I'm born and bread in the area, well travelled and I can tell you there's no finer people than the ones from our area of Notts, Mansfield has nice areas as well as not so nice, (like everywhere else!) and there's plenty of jobs to be had if you want one, just like any other town! Akinde would want a min of £3,000 a week too probably. A huge financial commitment.
