"Exeter City, Luton Town, Carlisle United, Coventry City, Cambridge United and Crewe Alexandra all stand out to me as having significantly strengthened"

We literally haven't signed anyone whatsoever, Steve.

We've not signed anybody either, in fact we've lost 3 players :2thumb:

I didn't think Olejnik played well in either of the playoff games, did he make a save? I'm surprised they didn't try to get Gillespie from us if they were after a keeper.

Olejnik is decent enough. When we signed him a couple of years back I think we mostly thought that we'd be getting a L1 standard 'keeper but sadly he's not really lived up to that.

He's a good shot stopper but doesn't command his area amazingly plus his kicking is average. That being said, he was excellent for Torquay and I believe Peterborough too so there's definitely a very good keeper in there.

For us though he's not a massive miss as Christy Pym is better and is about 6-7 years younger.

We've added to the odd name group at Crawley.

Panutche Camara. A 20 year old striker/right winger from Dulwich Hamlet.

I've never seen him play but I'd expect him to be in the "one for the future" bracket.

Billy Waters has gone to Northampton for an undisclosed fee and 3 year contract.

I wish him well, but I'll be surprised if he makes it at League 1 level.

As will I.

Some of our fans love to constantly say "WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE RELEASED HIM" when a player makes it back to League One or does better than us. But he's a good lad Billy is and has worked hard to get another crack at it.

But he's just too lightweight, too predictable and too one-dimensional to succeed in League One, and barring a miraculous transformation, he'll be back in League Two in the next 12 months. We were absolutely right to release him when we did (even if he was chronically mismanaged by Davis, he wasn't even in the same league as Ryan Colclough and his obvious talent) and it'll be interesting to see how he gets on at Northampton now.

Not exactly praise for Billy then! I am hoping that by playing along side a veteran such as Alex Revell or Marc Richards that it will help him out. We desperately needed some mobility up top so hopefully he can provide that.

Looking at these lists of players it reminds that League 2 really is incredibly bad. If Lincoln don't lose their better players they will be in with a shot of the playoffs.

The best players to sign in this division are unknown kids from lower divisions. We signed Dave Wheeler from Staines and he has been one of our best players for the past couple of years.

Getting a gem from the lower leagues is great but they are not that common.

Think Lincoln will have a shot if they don't have a mass exodus which I can't see happening. Last year was tight enough and this season has the potential of being even closer.

We are likely to lose Raggett in defence. Hope we are able to replace him a strengthen in several areas with the sort of money being banded around. We need a reasonable rebuild of new players but apart from Sean have kept the majority of the better players from last season. No doubt going to be a busy few weeks at SB.

Ollie Palmer - Goal Machine.

Sure he'll get his usual warm reception at Field Mill.

And the ironic cheers when he takes a shot which either clears the stands or goes for a throw in.

Still not forgiven him for that absolute sitter he missed against Chesterfield - the type where someone spun round 10 times then blindfolded would have scored.

Absolute fraud of a footballer

We offered him a new contract but he obviously didn't like the look of it. I'm not surprised, it will have been rubbish.

He said he hadn't even had an offer yet, so if club are claiming they had offered him one, it's no wonder he jumped ship. Said he would be gutted to leave though as he has loved his time down your place

given you're apparent liking for our players that will be Diarra on your radar then

Jordan Williams who you bid for but missed out on.
Alex Ray Harvey and Richie Bennett both talked about on your forum and linked to you in the media

If we had bid or wanted every player we have been linked with, we would have nearly as many players as Mansfield. A lot of it is click bait and or agents trying to garner better deals for said players.

Can't say I've heard the Bennett one, but the Harvey one, like many, has come from silly rumour sites. If they had their way, we'd already have a squad of 35.

Don't get me wrong, he's a cracking little player, I just think the step up another level might be a bit much. The lad will run and run for you, and he's got a great finish on him when he doesn't have to think about it. He can be so frustrating at times though, taking a shot when someone is in a much better position for example, or running into dead ends.

We've withdrawn the contract offered to James Bailey as he's delayed too long.

In most of the games he played, he was appalling. He put in a couple average performances at the end of the season, but happy we won't have to put up with watching him again.

Scott is a decent keeper at this level. We never as good as the early hype and also think it eventually affected his form. Nice bloke too.

Munnsy is class. Gutted he was released, but for some reason Johnson refused to give him a chance last season. Was absolutely immense for us in the Conference.

I think Scott Loach would benefit from playing regularly. He was inconsistent for us, never really got going somehow.

That's what he said in his interview that he never got regular games and started to become inconsistent. Seems like a level-headed bloke. He's got big gloves to fill with Carson off to the SPL.
