Think the striker(s), winger(s), non-threatening midfielder(s) will be the loanees. Christ, we'll maim a few this season.
I can't express enough my excitement at potentially being labelled a horrible ugly dirty side next season.

Roll on August.

Yeah Dunne and Linganzi will certainly add some steel (and some red cards) to your midfield next season!

Didn't think Linganzi would be offered a new deal by Jackett. He's a solid L2 midfielder, though. He isn't the most mobile or creative but he loves a challenge and will give you everything. He was an able deputy for Rose or Doyle in our title winning side.

His kids still go to school in Swindon and I understand you are still in the market for a striker.
Fair logic.

Liked him when he was here. Shame injuries have hampered him so much.

If someone can keep him fit and get 25 games a season out of him he will get you 15 goals a season.

Elliott Lee to Luton?

Not sure on this one, couple of guys on Outlaws seem convinced it is happening and another one has offered a £1,000 bet that he won't sign for us so is obviously pretty sure (or just has no intention of honouring the bet!!).

I think he'd be a great signing as the fourth striker as he could play at the tip of the diamond too, which would mean more game time for him as the fourth striker and (hopefully) less time for Cook! Not as much of an out and out goalscorer as Marriott but streets ahead in terms of touch, dribbling, flair - he floated past L2 defenders for fun when he was here even though he didn't score too many. We don't really have anyone who can beat a man like that currently apart from Hylton. I am sceptical though, hasn't worked out for him at Barnsley but I'm sure plenty of clubs higher than us would take a punt on him and he strikes me as a pretty ambitious guy. Also would it mean we'd have to play Olly Lee more often because if so, definitely not worth it!

Chalk this one under "hope so but believe it when I see it on the official twitter" I think.

We're being linked with Jordon Forster from Hibs - can't say I know a thing about him.

Saw he was at Plymouth in 15/16, so if any are passing through, thoughts?

I can't grumble at Chris O'Grady.

Not prolific but generally been a good player in leagues above this and should mean there's a bit more muscle in the team which was massively absent last season. Not sure where the money has come from, some of it from the Nolan sale presumably but the rest? umm.......
It's almost as if our owner (Who is probably amongst the wealthiest owners in this league) has actually re-taken an interest in us??

And it's worth signing him just to wind up the Cornish.

Not sure why we need Brunt really. Should Watkins leave or even Wheeler, to replace with Brunt is a bit of a come down plus we'd be playing more direct you'd imagine.

There'll be no animosity from us to Brunt if he signs for you, especially now we are in different leagues. The guy was and is well loved down here by the GA and everyone hopes he can find the form he was in pre injury. Exeter would be a great place for that, though with your current front men he may be forced to be patient.

Can play Right back and Centre Back. Has got an absolute clanger and a red card in him. 75% of the time he was a solid league 2 defender though before getting injured with us.

Sainsbury's is where we spot players in middle class Tory heartland Mansfield.

Apperantly James Baxendale is training at Lincoln?

We didn't see much of him, defiantly lightweight but I feel potentially he can be a good signing for this level.

No pits, no unions = Mansfield votes tory

In other news, its highly likely that Kevin Nolan will sign another of his old bezzy mates in Nicky Hunt. We are going for oldest slowest team in the division.

We've signed Joe Fryer on loan from Middlesbrough for the season. Goalkeeper who spent the second half of last season on loan with Hartlepool. No idea if he's any good but Sarll has been talking him up. Would pretty much confirm Jamie Jones is leaving too.

Good signing. Not the most commanding keeper in the world, but a pretty good shot stopper, decent distribution and he's 6ft2+. Don't remember 1 obvious mistake he made in his time with us, and for a team who finished second bottom that's pretty impressive for a keeper. Think he is only 19/20, so plenty of time for improvement.

Vadaine Oliver incoming apparently, and we're actually paying a fee:dk::£

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
York were going to release him from the final year of his contract a couple of weeks ago.

Persistent rumours that we're taking a punt on him. Got a good track record of patching up broken players so might be something in it.

Yeah winger, he's played a decent amount at League 1 level too. Got to be worth a shot for a team in this division.

Dan Jones to Notts rumours gathering pace? He wasn't all that good when we were supposedly going to spend £750k on him during the Munto era following a loan spell, what's he like now, Chessie fans?

Baxendale had one of the best debuts I've seen at our place and scored 2 clearly talented and great attitude.

Downside is he struggles with the physical side of League 2 as he is very small but would take him over Hawkridge any day.

In our league 1 play off campaign back in 14/15 he was absolutely class! He was absolutely rapid, and his crosses from the left were always pinpoint, he was very good in that season... However, he fractured his leg in November 2015 the following season, and was injury prone ever since, he never regained his form and looked a shadow of his former self, which is why I'm not surprised we released him!

He's a bit of a fan favourite at chesterfield though so if he does sign for you I hope he regains his form and gets back to his frightening best... Doubtful though

Baxendale is never a winger, he needs to be played centrally.

As the others have said, he's a talented player, but just hasn't got the physical attributes for this level. Walsall fans said the exact same thing to us 18 months ago when we signed him, and he's not really changed since he's been here.

Not transfer news but Ryan Haynes has signed a new two-year deal with us. Wasn't expecting him to stay so pretty happy with that all in all. He's a decent attacking full back at this level, but does have some shortcomings defensively.
