Shows how far we've fallen in 18 months that I am now worried we will lose him... although we are mourned to be going for the permanent deal rather than extension of his loan. Hopefully as he is settled with us and the fans have been chanting him to say it will see him chose to stay at the Vale.

Heard of him, think he played against us in the NL as well, but I couldn't tell you what position he plays.

This seems to have come from Bournemouth's end, so there's probably an element of truth in it.

Does indeed although that was to a far bigger club in Bradford, if we have any ambition we will go out a put money into it to ensure we dont lose him but as we know Smurf doesn't work like that.

Liked the one about us doing £150 season tickets!
If they did they owe me £130!
They actually went UP in price this season, around £30 but it was the first rise in 7/8 years.
On average they cost around £320 for adults mine was cheaper we sit in the family area.
We did make good money from the cup money, the huge increase in attendances and selling over 5500 season tickets but its not really gone on signings at all really its for the new training ground, cleared the overdraft with bank and keep us ticking over for the next 2/3 seasons

Rumours are Shrewsbury are in for Whitfield too so thats him gone unless we buy him and dont begrudge him a move to L1 if happens.

Gunning I believe is not as much down to money but contract length, we only offered to end of season I read... all be it he could be signing on for a season in non league next year.

We've lost two loanees. Dennon Lewis back to Watford reserves and Ibrahim Meite back to Cardiff reserves.

Of the two I'd take back Meite but neither has played enough to make me miss them.

Odd one, can understand wanting the 18 month security rather than stay with us until end of the season but could end up spending a year of that in non league... lack of ambition and should stay and fight for a longer deal considering we were getting the best out of him.

Could understand Crewe had that come off as you look almost as safe as us now but FGR is a strange one. Considering they keep losing their heads with red cards and abusing little kids he might fit in mind!

Think it's the usual occurrence when some bright spark of ours sees Radio Stoke tweet about a Vale player's future and then adds 2 and 2 and it equals 5. Probably the same bright spark who thought that every single one of our out of contract players would go Port Vale just because some of ours did the year before.

Since we signed Lee Matthews from you donkeys years ago we've only ever been seriously interested in one of your players and that was Gareth Owen at a time when our defence was absolutely threadbare. Gunning would've made no sense for us, Bakayogo (who'll be out the door in May 100%) Pickering and even Nolan can play LB and we're stocked up well on centre halves now George Ray will be returning in the next couple of weeks. Even if Ray was out for the season, Gunning is no different to Raynes and Nolan anyway.
