He's quite the character on Twitter aye. I'll never question his commitment from whistle to whistle on matchday though. Still, his stays at clubs always seem to end acrimoniously, and his veteran centre back role will be filled by Clarkey.

I see Gerrard and the allegedly suspended Byrne have followed shit-stirring journalist Mike Keegan on Twitter, it will be interesting to see what Keegan's "anonymous sources" have to say this week!

Presumably he played under Sheridan for Oldham.

I haven’t seen him play for a good few years, sort of remember his Cardiff days but don’t remember what type of defender he is.

What we need is a bit of height and physicality at the back, someone who can lead and organise. We lost that when Clint Hill left. Gary Liddle and Gillesphey are good footballers but struggle against a big physical striker. If he ticks those boxes then I’m happy.

Quite obvious correlation between winning sides(or sides meeting expectations) and unchanged sides there. Sides doing poorly with greater numbers of changes. Notts County and Lincoln anomalies in that.

Not surprised to see that we're top for L2 but a little surprised that the %age is not even higher. 10 of our top 14 are still with us. Maybe they consider Tafty (26 + 2 on loan) to have left before signing permanently. There are only 4 players (101+20 sub) who left at the end of the season plus Berry (3) last August and 3 loans (19+5 sub) - One of those, Billy Waters 15 + 3, may still end up joining us.
