Bowman came through our academy. Made a few sub appearances before being discarded by top talent spotter Gregory Abbott. The list of players he’s given away that have then gone on for money is becoming a catalogue.

Some suggestion Rovers might be interested in Mike Jones, who started with us. What position does he play now?

His best position is central defensive midfielder.

Good player. He’s the only one of the listed 4 I rate. But Kelvin Etuhu has kind of nailed that position now and with Jones being one of our bigger earners it’s probably right to try and move on, for himself and the club.

Confirming the widespread rumours, good of Exeter to do this:

https://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/news/2018/december/-club-statement-jayden-stockley/

Suppose it's a done deal he's off. Be interested to see how the release clause breaks down. Is it a flat upfront fee or is it in instalments. Is it performance based(apps and goals, promotions, individual awards etc) and does it include a sell on? Because if it is just a flat fee and that's it, you kind of feel like Exeter are getting screwed, especially if he does the business where ever he goes.

The 3 suggested interested clubs are ourselves, Pompey and Preston I gather. Not a lot to call it any which way tbh.

Brendan Daniels has left Vale for Telford. Never got a chance really.

Looks like Juan Luque will be leaving when his short term deal expires next week.

Was worth a look given his record in a lower division but he's hardly been involved here.

You sound disappointed. The fact he's back in the lower leagues should tell you everything you need to know. He's not good enough. Alex fans could have told you that when we released him.

Not either disappointed or pleased as I couldn’t tell you the first thing about him bar his free kick ability.

He never got a look in. Another victim of our quantity over quality scatter-gun approach to recruitment.

Yep, he’s a gonner. Not in the squad today and it looks like he’s off to Preston. As for the fee and how it breaks down, haven’t a clue. It’s possible Aberdeen have a sell on clause too so we may lose out on 20% of the fee too! Joy.

I’d imagine this will scupper promotion chances but we will have to see how Bowman and Forte can combine. We’re also going to bring in a few more players according to Taylor so if they’re decent and we get Boateng fit, then we could still threaten the top 3.

Yates was recalled by Rotherham today. He’s been excellent since being switched to CF.

If we fail to replace him we’ll drop like a stone.

Ricky German signs a three year contract with Crawley.

28 goals in 21 games this season for Hendon (it says here).

Went to school with Nathaniel-Grant so knows someone at the club.

Definitely worth a go but I'm not so sure about a three year deal.

Sam Surridge mentioned on our forum. Not sure whether his loan spell at Oldham is coming to an end or whether he's being recalled and potentially coming to us.

Surridge on a season long loan with us but believe There is a recall in jan word up here is he’s off to Portsmouth played today gave his shirt and boots away. To the young fans so think that’s himdone up here but apparently he told some fans after the game he’s available to play against Fulham in cup. Next week

Seems that MK Dons are one of the clubs who have met the 750k release clause for Stockley. Suggested by, of all people, Danny Cowley...

How on earth can MK Dons meet that clause? Absolutely obscene amount for a L2 club.

When he played for us he had obvious ability, but there were question marks over his attitude. I think he thought he was better than he was (probably down to rumours there were always scouts sniffing around before he even got a game for us). He never really took the chances he was given although it could be said he never really got a fair crack. Maybe a spell lower down has grounded him a bit. There's a player there definitely

Suppose Tisdale would know all about him - mad amount of money for this level though

Think they just want to take the ‘top budget’ title off bottom placed Notts Cointy to make them feel better.

Scunthorpe have apparently had a £200k bid turned down for our young CB George Edmundson.

Multiply by 5 lads and we might start talking.

If MK Dons do sign Stockley, 750k has to be the largest transfer outgoing by a League Two club ever?

Iirc Scunthorpe paid 400k for Paddy Madden in 2014 which was a big transfer.

Stockley is a snip at 750k to be honest, worth every penny of that. Can't see us going up without him even if Bowman settles in fast.

He's been the most clinical goal scorer I've seen for us since Jamie Cureton. Hope he does well at a championship club.

It's definitely clicked at your place (as it did first time round) because prior to that he was hardly scoring, albeit lots of loan moves probably didn't help with that.

David Perkins is in for talks today apparently. Played 17 times for Rochdale this season.
