Happy with those signings, particularly Danny Rowe who was getting into his stride before Port Vale decided to hack him to pieces.

Don’t recall this incident?

Seems like the winger we’re signing is Randell Williams on a free from Watford. Has been on loan at Wycombe this season and actually seems like a decent player.

If it comes off I think that’s a great deal for the club.

Occurred just before half time in the game at Vale Park, picked up an ankle injury which required surgery.

Thought that was Frecklington after clashing with our keeper

Good signing Rowe is, I’ll be sure to start a thread on Stagsnet questioning how it’s affordable and sustainable considering the good crowds and still needing extra investment to compete financially.
Tbf, the 'extra' investment isn't extra at all. It's new money from 3 new Directors (who have to pay to get on the Board) and a current Director who's changed his Director level as planned.

Rowe was from the game last season.

Pleased with getting Rowe back and the signings today mean we can now fill the bench on Saturday! He was just getting into his stride last season when he got injured and in Anderson, Andrade and Rowe we've got good options on the wings.

We're also looking at extending Gordon's loan from Derby but apparently they want to get rid of him permanently this window and that's not something we're looking to do so we'll see how that one pans out.

As it stands, probably just a CM and ST left for us to sort, with probably 3 or 4 heading out the door on way or another.

LOLLLLLLLLL ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS

:lol::lol::lol:

Or wasthatthejoke.jpg?

Mansfield definitely needed it, we only had two strikers fit so that sorts Ajose out, Grant has basically replaced Elsnik and our #1 goalkeeper is out for a year so Jordan Smith is explained.

And Lincoln have a pretty small squad don’t they? It’s vital to mix it up if you want to to get promoted either way.

I don't know what's more amazing, Lincoln sign 3 decent (on paper) players or this MB seems to be working for me?!

Really happy about Bolger, to get him from Fleetwood for gratis after they turned down 500k from Hearts in the summer is great business for us, nice work Joey!

Agree that options are very important for promotion challengers, but please don't try to justify it by saying it was desperately needed. In Otis Khan and Danny Rose you had two players who would walk into almost every starting XI in this division on your bench midweek! You weren't in dire need of attacking options.

Yes we fucking were because Rose cannot hit a barn door currently and Khan has just come back from a month or two injured. WHATS NEXT.

We’ve been a striker short all season anyway, btw all three signings went straight in to the squad I wonder why :D

Khan has just come back? He came off your bench on 52mins against Lincoln on November 24th and has been in pretty much every match day squad since then?

Come back when you've had to play two RBs at CB, Mitch Rose at RB and then had your only defender in a natural position sent off on 2mins away at a Premier League club mate. ;)

Our game against Grimsby was evident we needed another striker, did you watch that?

The only problem for you seems to be ‘attacking options’ and like I said Grant has basically replaced Elsnik, so that leaves Ajose - Craig Davies is out for a while so that leaves us with Walker, Rose (Seriously out of form) and Graham (first professional season)

Khan has only started once since coming back I think and got took off at half time, he’s not at the races yet but I’m sure he will get back to his best eventually.

No, I was back down South for New Year so didn't get to see it. All too aware of you squandering a shitload of chances but isn't that in part down to Flitcroft? Doesn't have the best rep for man management and it seems to me like you've got a few players who have needed confidence boosts at various points this season. I don't think it's that viable an argument to just say Rose is out of form and Khan isn't at the races because I'd argue that under the stewardship of at least half the other managers in the division they'd be firing more consistently. Although, I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying I just think most clubs would swap their attackers for yours even in their current state at the drop of a hat.

We've brought in keeper Lewis Ward on loan from Reading and Scott Laird has gone out on loan to Walsall for the rest of the season.

They all love it under Flitcroft, he’s got them playing the best football I’ve personally seen from a Mansfield team and he can’t put it in the net for them.

So nah it’s not him, it’s just a lack of quality in the final third and a over reliance on Walker who’s got a lot of pressure on him.

Seems like the left back we’re signing on loan may be from Huddersfield. Mason O’Malley has been mentioned but he’s only 17 so not sure. Jaden Brown also mentioned but he seems like a really good player and Aberdeen linked with him so not sure about that.

Never forget that obsession goes both ways haha . If you need evidence just look at any of the many threads on the league two forum

Lincoln and Mansfield are relevant to each other I suppose in a league position sense

Looks like Pools are about to sign Michael Raynes on loan from Crewe with a view to a permanent deal in the summer, any good for non league?

It looks like we might be signing Bristol Rovers centre back Tom Broadbent for a fee (yes we are spending some cash!!).

The guy is built like a brick outhouse, no idea if he has any footballing ability or not!

Rumors on our side that you’re getting him for free.

If true I’ll be disgusted at our transfer policy.

We either let our players go for nothing or for 1/5th of their value whilst having to pay a fee for crap.

Btw Tom is a good player, he had a good year last season but wasn’t close enough to the first team this year and was a tad out of form. Good player with good potential.

He will do a cracking job in L2 I’m sure

Thanks for the feedback, very happy based on what you have said and even better that there is no fee - you would have thought there will be add ons in case he does very well here.
