Is he any good?
Been our right back for a few seasons now, signed from Accrington. Good attacking fullback who lost his way a bit last season. We offered him another contract this summer and probably a majority of U’s fans would rather he stayed but a fair chunk are not bothered either way.

Signed from Middlesbrough after being on loan at Accrington for most of a season.

He's good, especially going forward, but probably needs a change of scene and motivation.

Thanks. Don't think we're in the market for another right-back atm.

Salford City linked with any player who would never even entertain the idea of dropping down to league 2. No idea why.

I never thought Adam Rooney would drop to the conference but Salford threw enough money at him and he did.

That's what £5k a week on a 3 year deal can do.

Danny Whitehead is being paid 8 times the amount he was getting with us.

Matt Green left us for around £3k/week as well. And that's before you start with Pond and Lloyd dropping down from L1, Gaffney was another who dropped.

Hogan dropped two(?) levels from Gateshead to sign for them a couple of years back, too.

Chris Neal as well, double auto promotion winner at this level.

Surely Hogan is only playing for Salford because he was born in Salford.

I bet you was paying Green around 3k.

Danny Mayor is linked with Salford they put in a shite bid in Jan which was rejected. Would be disappointed if he went there tbh even more tinpot than Forest Green.

No-where near. He basically doubled his wages when he left in January (and will get another wage increase now they're promoted).

Skeptical considering what he was on at Mansfield and joined you on a free.

A rumour that were looking at bringing Maynard back here. I'm skeptical though, he may well leave Bury because of there financial state, but I doubt we could afford his wages plus after the season he's had bigger clubs than us will be after him.

Unbelievable, if true. But more likely just unbelievable.

Can’t see how we could afford him this year if we couldn’t last year. About 10 clubs in L2 alone could give him a better deal unfortunately.

He would be the real difference between promotion and not. But we aren’t run on IOU’s like some.

He's 32, 33 next season. As much as he's a good striker i dont think anyone but league 2 and maybe bottom end of league 1 would go for him.

So Notts County ‘game changer’ is a quick winger that is not actually that quick?

Alan Hardy is a absolute cockwomble :lol:

Well I got Alan Hardy right.

Cannot wait for all the summer transfer madness, the only downside we not have a ever increasing transfer fee for Akinde this season!

That's the rumour our end.

He's a cracking player is Nige, if he can be bothered. Before his injury he was absolutely fantastic for us.
Wonder if we may make a move....Have you heard if you’re likely to go back in for Tillson?

The local reporter has said we may make an enquiry, but it depends on Exeter. He has two years left on his deal apparently, and we won't be paying a fee.

Fair enough. Suspect we may let him go for nothing as doesn’t look like he’s in Taylor’s plans but who knows. Glad he did well for you, though...

He did ok - he was exactly what we needed. No frills - break play up and pass the ball to another player to do something with it.

Yep, that’s him in a nutshell. Solid L2 stopper but I’m just surprised we gave him a three year deal tbh.
