Rumour is that he is heading towards us? What's he like?

Also rumours that he’s off to the states.

Good left foot, best position is CB but he was mainly used for us as left back cover. Dont think he’s particularly suited to League 2.

We’ve made a £700 bid to Rotherham for Jerry Yates.

That’s 3 L2 clubs he’s been loaned to. Was good for us until he got injured.

Would have thought he’d have progressed to L1 by now.

Timi would have been in League One now if we had kept him instead of swapping him for Grant.

Alex Jones....
When was the striker shown round? Because Alex Jones has been in Dubai for the last couple days.

Apparently he's been spotted around Cambridge since his loan expired so some fans are assuming he's coming back to sign permanently.

What's Kyle Knoyle like Swindon fans? BBC Wiltshire reporting that Cambridge are after him.

Some fans don't seem overly bothered he may leave. For me he's a bloody good full back who'd be an asset to anyone in this league and a solid enough one in the league above. Crossing lets him down but he does the defensive side very well and gets forward at times, just let down by his delivery.

A guy on Twitter’s Dads mates Brothers wife’s workmates Son says we’ve signed a striker from League 1, it’s all been signed but it’s not gonna be announced until 2 weeks on Thursday.

Watch this space!!
I'm wondering if the workmates son is the one who buys his paper where i get mine ?
Because the paper shop bloke told me a man who comes in his shop told him that a woman who used to work at Aldi who he knows from Church has spoken to this bloke at Grimsby who says that Grimsby and Port Vale are supposed to be back in for Sam Kelly now that he has been dumped by Hamilton Academicals.

It's a small world.
I'll be watching :bl:

I don’t know, I just made it up - like everyone else.

He's a;ways in Dubai doing some fitness training, suggest he tries somewhere else he'll never play a full season he's made of glass.

Solid consistent right back that would be a good signing for any L2 side. Only 22 so time to improve. Personally hope he stays. Won our POTY prize last season.

Danny Devine has accepted a 12 month extension. He’s progressed through the youth ranks and featured frequently for Gary Bowyer at the end of last season. He’s purely a squad filler, but not a bad option from the bench at this level.

We've had our bid for Jerry Yates rejected by Rotherham. It wasn't actually £700, it was £500 with add ons meaning it could rise to £700, plus a 25% sell on clause.

Whether we'll up it or not I don't know. David Holdsworth Sporting Director supremo seems to be a take it or leave it type of guy.

No-where near. He basically doubled his wages when he left in January (and will get another wage increase now they're promoted).

Lincoln had average wage of nearly £2.2k p/w yet you reckon Green was only on £1.5k :bl:

Presumably you've been reading PriceofFootball on Twitter?

On the basis our accounts don't show a breakdown of how many players were used, I'm not sure how he's been able to get to a any figure at all because that's quite a fundamental part of any calculations.

I did and tbf his charts show no transfer spend with Mansfield but either way there’s no way Green was under £2k at Lincoln, not having it

A bit of a blanket from Imps over the wages that you are paying, which I don’t understand because you can (sort of) afford it.

Matt Gilks was our highest earlier here (on around 5k a week), interested what he will be on at Lincoln.

We've been linked with a number of players but most seem to be complete bollocks. Someone with a bit more credibility says we are in for a striker at crewe who we will have to pay a fee for.

Really? Bowery is a free agent, I'd be shocked if we were asking for money for Shaun Miller, Lewis Reilly you probably don't want and I doubt you are after Chris Porter either.

As for the other attackers, the likes of Ainley and Kirk would be out of your price range. Smells like bullshit, unless Askey has lost his mind and wants to give us a fee for Miller.

Kirk was the rumour... probably the same guy who reckoned James Wilson was on his way and Manny was off to Cambridge! Bowery has been mentioned which is more likely but don't want him personally, always look poor whenever I have seen him the last few times, in fact he has been absolutely dross the last 3 meetings for the Alex against us.

We've signed our former academy graduate Andy Butler. He's getting on a bit but will provide some much needed leadership

Scott Burgess signed from Bury on a 1 year deal.

Never heard of him, seems York were desperate to keep him after a loan and someone who's in to try and break through, played a lot in Macc's title winning side.

See how it pans out.

Good player. Was in and out of our side in our Conference winning season but can make it in League Two imo. Good technically. Can play anywhere across the midfield.

Thanks, sounds by Askeys interview that he is here to try and break into the team so will see how he does, played a few times in L1 for Bury when younger so hopefully something about him.

Burgess is most likely one for the future because I doubt he's currently good enough for the FL. Perhaps it was because of his age but he hardly stood out in non league, let alone in League 2.

Having said that, he's definitely an Askey type of player so perhaps not a bad prospect for Vale.
