Someone on our forum reckons Collin is on his way out. I don't know who is ITK on our forum and who is a bullshitter, but most people seem to be worried there could be some truth in it.

Collin not involved again today so there could be something in this.

That would be another nail well and truly hammered into our relegation coffin.

I wish you’d stop sitting on the fence about Carlisle’s chances this season.

Rhys Browne and Kwame Thomas not involved so assume their trial is over.

Jonny Madison from Darlington GK, Shawn Cummings RB and Alex Hurst of Bradford PA remain on trial and play today.

Interestingly Ben Whitfield is absent today... possibly someone has come in with him being listed for transfer.

We have Yann Songo'o on trial today at Guisely. We need another CM as Ojo is about to leave so makes sense.

Rhys Browne still with the club but has a knock.

Two triallists for us today, a left back and right back.

Right back is ex Birmingham u23's captan Dominic Bernard, was on loan at Aldershot last season.

The club have officially denied there being any uncertainty about Collin's future, so make of that what you will.

They've said it was always the plan that Gray would play in goal for the first three friendlies and Collin for the next three, and today's squad was missing the majority of the first teamers.

We gave him an early trial this summer after releasing him, but then released him again. Don't know if he was back to 100% fitness by the time we released him or if we just decided he wasn't what we were looking for.

Callum Mcfadzean to Oldham
Good luck lad.
Not the best [layer at Bury but a very important part of the team and wish him nothing but the best.
Relayed this to Oldham fans and I've been told he's going to Plymouth. What say you? Sorry about the mess you're in btw.

I saw you offered him a deal and he turned it down. Was he supposed to go higher?
We all assumed he wanted to stay in league one. I guess the offer from us was less than last year, or he thought he could get a lot more and is finding out he can’t. A real crowd favourite. If there had to be a player throwing his body in front of a shot in the box, you could bet it was Yann. He is great when the oppo have the ball, very dependable and likely to make a successful challenge. When he first started with us his passing was atrocious, if he got the ball you had to watch behind your fingers. But he worked on this a lot, and while still not great my hands stayed in my lap. I even saw him skill someone last year - i’ve Probably marked it in my calendar! Personally, I felt he was better as a defensive CM than a CB, when sometimes he got caught out. Offered a bit of a threat at the other end for corners. Gave his all. In a season when most fans thought the players did not fight, he was only one of two players that came out with positive reviews. Wish he would come back.

After out friendly this afternoon Lowe announced we are signing someone Monday, subject to medical. I had assumed it was Byron Moore, but both mcfazdean and thompson’s names have been bandied about.

Another one that is nowhere near good enough for a side that ought to be winning League Two. Not quite on the Quigley level, mind, but I'd be a bit concerned why Dempster is even entertaining these players.

I hear we also had a young full back from Coventry playing called Jak Hickman who was recently involved in some drug incident.

Just seen that he's apparently told Bury fans on instagram that he's coming to Oldham.

If so, I bet distance has played a part in the decision.

Fair enough. I saw he wasn’t playing and thought the worst after seeing the rumour you posted.

Still think we’ll go down as we look set to have the weakest attack in the history of professional football, but having a decent keeper will at least keep us in some games.

Remie was decent but left following our relegation, released without trying to get compensation due to his age which stunned the fans... then strangely disappeared from football, Michael Brown mentioned something to do with his knee and appears that has been a problem. It was strange as he’d been playing all season!

He was a trial last season for a bit but nothing came of it. If he is recovered and is at the same level he was then he would be stand out at the National League level and be an excellent addition. Would be down to what the injury has done to him.

We all love Songo’o. Wish him the best wherever.

Proper battler, will pour his heart and soul into every game and one you want on your side when you’re scrapping it out against teams.

However for a midfielder his technique does leave a lot to be desired, often described as springs on his boots as simple passes would end up in row G or H. Has to be played at CDM as has too many clangers in his locker at CB as found out a couple of times last year. (This was one of the reasons he became a fans favourite of sorts - it was gallows humour whilst we were down at the bottom, what will Songo’o do next).

Not sure if this makes sense but he’s the kind of player you’d want more if you’re fighting in the bottom half of league 1 than if you’re trying to gain promotion from league 2.

We aren’t being linked to anyone and still have absolutely no strikers.

We've sold Funso Ojo to Aberdeen for an estimated 150k.

We've then signed Yann Songo'o on a free as his replacement.

Seems solid business.

Latest rumour is right back, Jack Grimmer.

Was at Coventry the last couple of years and scored against us at Wembley, so recognise the name!

It’s one area we need to strengthen so would be happy with him.
