You have no idea of what real shit football is. My first season of watching Crawley we finished second bottom of the Southern League Division 1 (south) against such luminaries as Ashford Town (Kent) and Canterbury City. It was only four seasons later that I got a bit of success when we were promoted from that league in second place behind those mega stars of R.S. Southampton. We were promoted to a division that contained Burton Albion and Cheltenham Town (iirc)

Still miss some of that crap though.

Casey
I can relate because at the end of the day we all love football here. I played at the very bottom ie Sunday morning football and a little higher North west counties lge so i know what shit football is. I would not have it any other way.

It means you only ever played in the bottom two leagues in 100 years. A short spell out of the league in 1990s.....pretty shitty history.
Another fact Bolton paid for your St James park to be bought.......you have that in common With Barrow
We have paid for them to have a roof on one of there stands this season.......very giving club Bolton
We don't even own St James Park, the council does.

Shame your recent track record paying wages isn't quite so good :£
All Wages have been paid...ie football creditors paid off.
The poor working class man who gets shafted when clubs go into administration is still waiting for his money.
He gets 35p in the pound

So you're denying the fact he jumped in on a conversation about where the 800k was going to be spent on, and claimed said money is going towards deferred wages? Alright fella, whatever you say... Snoop has also confirmed the 800k again, just 16 minutes ago buddy.

Given his track record of being reliable and with Martin Lawrence then saying the 800k is mainly going towards deferred wages. I'll take that over you :2thumb:

You can believe what you want but perhaps read what Martin posted again then tell me where he said that the £800k was mainly going on deferred wages. (important bit highlighted for you).

Just to lend a helping hand, he didn't mention any figures..

£28m - £1.8m = £26.2m

That makes by my calculations a windfall of 5.2m at 20%, or at the lower 15% a 3.93m payment.

Would that make him the most expensive player in L2 history, or has any other L2 side got more than 5-6m for a player?
He is a championship player not lge 2......so no that wont make him the most expensive player in lge 2 history
Who have you sold for 5/6 m
ffs your deluded

Probably.

Very similar to the Oli McBurnie saga of last season, this.

Swansea sold him to Sheff United for £17.5m, which we received an upfront installment of 15% - which equated to £2.62m. The deal is/was worth £20m, which the remaining £2.5m was based on whether Sheff United would stay up or not last season. They did, of course, which meant we received a further £431,250.00 this pre-season - which basically fell into a black hole.

So in total around £3m you got for him? Not bad going, must be the record thus far?

The money we will have received for our sale would be 5-6m - Come on mate, this isn't difficult to understand. £1.8m upfront and then the 20% part of the contract being worth £5.2m - That's 6m we will have sold him for in total, if the figures quoted are correct.

You can believe what you want but perhaps read what Martin posted again then tell me where he said that the £800k was mainly going on deferred wages. (important bit highlighted for you).

He claimed the money is going mainly to deferred wages, when the topic is about the £800k - You can follow a thread on a forum, right?

We were never out of the league in the 1990s. Get your facts straight.

Also, I’d be delighted if you could elaborate on Bolton paying for SJP to be bought? Not disputing it, just never ever heard this before.

Plus an additional £350k from the original sale to Swansea - about £3.4m in total.

But we sold him when in League One, so I’m not sure about League Two records, like.

Sorry 2003/8 you was non league
In 1921 Bolton paid Exeter £5,000 for the Goalkeeper Dick pym [fa cup winner for Bolton 23,26,29]
With that 5 grand Exeter bought St James Park
True story

If you love football like the rest of us maybe don’t dismiss Exeter, a team that will be your competition this season.

You have no moral high ground, Bolton are L2 shite just like the rest of us. Get used to it.

So to confirm, you didn't pay for St James Park.

we are not a f...n charity

There you are a Exeter lad with three winning fa cup medals

Not saying you are a charity. Clearly you're not as you can't even pay your own players wages.

You claimed you paid for SJP and then followed it up with 'very giving club Bolton'

But you didn't pay for SJP by your own admission. You bought a player from us and then later on we bought the ground.

You're not very good at this trolling malarkey.

It's good to see that you haven't changed since your exeweb days.

Perhaps Martin didn't mention a figure because he didn't know?

Your trusted source, Snoop, friend of a friend of Ben's dad, claimed that Ollie's sell on is 20%. He's wrong about that too.

So I assume it’s 15% then? A bit disappointing but it would still give us a nice windfall....If someone actually pulls their finger out and signs him!

Wrote this earlier, could’ve added a patchy injury record but could say that for many.
“Scannell, must have been decent at some point but definitely wasn’t when he was with us, the odd good thing now and again like most but not quick, not known for great crosses or for being full of tricks either. Not great when he’s costing a small fortune every week. There’s a lot worse out there but not surprised he hasn’t got anyone in L1.”
Guess we’ll have to rely on the Holloway factor to get him motivated and back to his best then hopefully!

All depends what it's 15% of!

It would be nice to get whatever deal it is done so we know where we stand. On the other hand, being dragged out a bit could mean there's a bidding war going on.

Funny this - The Athletic said in an article this week that Bolton owners face a £3.5m bill for unsecured creditors, to be paid in August 2021.

I doubt we've even seen the cash from Bolton that they owe us for Evatt. We certainly didn't build a new stand with the proceeds.
