I know he’s always considered a bit marmite but surely it’s a club in the league above? 2 seasons with double figures at this level but obviously last season was a write off for him.

Still only 25 as well, I thought he was superb at our place a couple of seasons ago.

Cheltenham set to sign Ibrahim Bakare after a two week trial in which he's impressed in both friendlies. Never heard of him before to be honest, and he was playing for Vancouver FC in the Canadian Premier League last season, so maybe one of those hidden gems.

I'm angry that Alexander isn't using him, or even giving him enough minutes to prove what he can do in pre-season. I guess if we can't find anyone to take Vadaine Oliver off our hands, we just have too many forwards. Oliver aside, it is a good and deep pool of forwards, and Oliver is capable of filling that Cook role at the end of matches.
My feeling is (and I admit to not being as knowledgeable on tactics or City as others) that if Cook is out for any length of time, we'll need to do things differently. Even with a healthy Cook, I worry that our tactics are too easy to figure out and won't work against as many teams as they will.
But I guess both cook and Young are players that you need to build things around, and they're not really compatible. if I were a manager, I'd want to have a way to change matches, but it makes no sense to keep all these forwards when there are other teams weak at the position.

My money is on Walsall to be in for him. It's clear Sadler doesn't want Danny Johnson and I don't think a front 2 of Matt and Gordon will cut it. Miller gives them a big boost in firepower.

He'd be Mullin's backup. He doesn't fit the profile of strikers we typically partner Mullin with.

We're light up top, but would rather we do better for starters. Would've liked Evans as backup/rotation.

I actually like George, works hard and scores, misses the odd sitter but doesn’t put him off. He just doesn’t fit in the way play, we’ve been approached and would get a fee. I’m sure Grant has a replacement lined up so I expect that’s the reason he can leave. Good luck to the lad wherever he ends up.

I'd have Miller here for sure. Solid enough 4th tier striker. Not sure if he's particularly an Artell type of player though.

We’ve not made many signings but it feels a lot like we’ve made some decent ones, if we can end the window with Davies plus Luker and 2 forward players then all of a sudden our window looks decent, after a huge meltdown a week ago.

Did you see the interview with Artell saying Luker is highly unlikely now as there is a lot of competition from higher up? Do we think that is actually the case or is he just putting the groundwork in so that when we sign him he can say what a coup he is?

Also wouldn't be surprised if we're trying to bring Davies in on a permanent deal.
