So rumours are that Shaun Miller is going to Crewe.

I’m past giving 2 fucks about this season now, but the fact Miller is the man Curle is trying to offload and not Richie fucking Bennett further underlines what a clueless fuckwit he is and we need to spend any money we have on paying him off to leave our club.

Admittedly Miller hasn’t been good enough for us, but I’d keep him over that camel any day.

Miller in, Dagnall out apparently.

It's probably much of a muchness in terms of quality but it's such a blatant cost cutting exercise. FFS.

Where's Dagnall off?
Bury apparently. Though the club are saying he’s injured... so it’s either a cover story and he’s either off imminently or it’ll put the skids on the move.

Where has this rumour come from? We do need a striker.

Pretty sure it' just been made up by one of our fans, and now it' gone abit viral.

We’ve signed striker Ryan Loft on loan from Spurs. He was at Stevenage last season and only made 9 sub appearances without scoring.

However he did score against Luton in the shit wank trophy for Spurs u23s.

A very meh signing as he looks like he is just cover for Stockley as he’s 6ft 3 so can’t see him pairing up with Jayden. Hopefully he will prove me wrong, though. Still keeping my fingers crossed we sign someone with pace but we’ll see.

Yep, I'm struggling to see the logic in the signing, as he surely wouldn't work as a strike partner for Stockley. We also have Simpson and Brunt (fitness dependant) who can provide that sort of back up so really would have preferred us to go for a faster striker option, which we are lacking.

I'm lumping on our relegation if we sign Shaun Miller. Nice lad but the bloke doesn't know what composure is and his goalscoring record bar two seasons is pisspoor. Never seen a player miss more one on ones for us than him and I've seen some really shit strikers play for us.

That said, I genuinely believe it's a rumour created by one of our fans whose done this before and fooled everyone.

We had 2 young lads from Cardiff u18's playing for us in our development game at MK Dons tonight. Alfie Madden (defender) and Cai Williams (midfielder). Not really sure if we're looking to take them on loan or if we're looking to add to our youth/development squads.

Saw him play today for the under 23s. Looks a handful, unlucky not to score and certainly better than Robbie Simpson. Think he is a good signing.

Nathan Arnold on the bench tonight but didn't get on as Cameron Stewart got the nod ahead of him. Clearest sign that something is happening behind the scenes because Arnold's got the nod ahead of Stewart since he's been here.

Reports of Shaun Miller to Crewe still abound.

Shows how much of a shit football club we are if we can't hang on to players when a club we've beaten 6-0 on aggregate (no offence Crewe) come knocking, especially at a time when attack is our main problem.

Our director of football (and ex marketing manager) stated that we have failed in our attempts to bring in two of our targets. He doesn't say who they were though.

Still leaves another three but gawd only knows how realistic they are. I mean we tried to sign Jamie Carry once. Maybe we fancy another go?

Tbh we're not exactly over the moon at bringing back a striker who left us whilst he was on a run of 25 games without a goal. He had one good season with us (when he was pretty excellent tbf) and has had one good season since, not sure he's going to have much impact. But we can't attract better cos of budget, position, blah blah.

Also a rumour floating about that Jermaine Pennant is training with us and was at the game last weekend. Nothing to say he's signing yet, thank fuck.

Apperantly two League 1 clubs put bids in for Danny Rose recently but he’s just signed a new contract so that should end any interest.

It's possible even though we have one of the smallest squads in the division and two season-long injuries, our owners have told Keith Curle the only funds he can have for new players are those he can raise by getting existing players off the wage-bill. I don't think we're anywhere near the poorest club in the division but probably thanks to our owners have one of the lowest footballing budgets.

Sebastien Bassong to us is being rumoured. Supposedly on £35k a week at Norwich, but he has been on trial with Kilmarnock so clearly willing to play for a lot less.

According to Alan Nixon we're after Mallik Wilkes from Leeds and Cole Stockton from Hearts.

Shaun Miller is bang average. Our fans are acting like we've loaned out a 20 goal a season man.

The thing that irritates me is that whilst Miller is average, we have a player in Richie Bennett who can only dream of being as bang average as Shaun Miller. Bennett should have been first out the door to which ever mugs were stupid enough to take him.

Jones refused to comment on the rumour linking us to Otis Khan at his press conference doing the standard "we don't comment" bit. But then he also flatly rejected another rumour in the same interview as being not true so one might interpret that as basically admitting our interest in Khan.

Still think it's a weird one for us to be interested in but Jones does have plenty of previous for shoe-horning wingers into any position other than on the wing so who knows...

Like you say, it’s an odd one only in the sense that we don’t play with wingers. It makes perfect sense when viewed in the context of Jones weakness of trying to get as many wingers in a team as possible. Central Midfield 2’s of Jordan Cook and Alex Gilliead being peak examples!

He hasn’t done that for a while to be fair to him but old habits die hard I guess!

He’s got a 5 game ban, so that may put off some suitors.

Doubt it would put us off if indeed we are interested, it's not like we are desperate for someone to walk into the team right now in that area so I think if he is one that has been identified as a target we'd be happy to take a longer view than the next few weeks. Gives Jones a few weeks to teach him to play as a central midfielder anyway so he's probably delighted.

We'll get neither.

Most likely the money saved by loaning out Miller will go towards paying off some debt that has been discovered, or paying someone we don't owe technically but Nixon had a gentleman's agreement with, EWM wanting their money back or somesuch or Fred Story being given some of his loan back despite never asking for it because of some cockamamy reason that it will make the club look better to potential investors, and Curle will then be told that if he wants to bring any teenagers on loan from Championship clubs then he will need to get at least 15 players off the wage bill.

Luton fans - I heard that we were looking at Luke Gambin at some point or other, but I didn't read too much into it as I'm sure you lot will be looking to recuperate some of the money you shelled out for him, money we can ill afford at this time. He's only halfway through a two and a half year contract if I'm not mistaken?

Then a while back, I heard you were supposedly interested in Harrison Dunk, but I thought this even more ridiculous as I don't think he's good enough for a promotion aspiring side like Luton.

Any truth in the above?

Sky Sports News reporting Luton have bid £120,000 for Alex Woodyard. Unless that's a release clause, no way is that acceptable.
