Are you disappointed with Jody Morris' sub 16% win ratio Don? Its not really worked out sadly has it? Reckon the club will give him time or put him out of his misery? I think there is a lot wrong behind the scenes, losing Chorley and getting Di Michele in has been a bit of a disaster.
Very disappointed Mr Stool. He doesn't seem to be able to sort out the problems at the back and his comments after the Tranmere game about us being the better side were frankly baffling. Think he needs to go sooner than later but would love to be proved wrong. Think if we lose again on Saturday a decision has to be made.

Why did Ben Chorley go and what’s he up to now?

Not long after Garner went to Charlton. Chorley left and I've been told he's working for Southampton but I can't find any evidence of that. I've also no evidence that he was part of the glue for our play-off season last season but since he's gone - and been replaced with someone who definitely doesn't have his football know-how - we've definitely regressed.

Big summer for this football club ahead.

Matthew Etherington, Graeme Murty and Brian Barry Murphy are the 3 names we are apparently looking at.

Seems like we are going down the young head coach route.
Matthew Etherington; I think he walked away from here after being told by the dof he could not pick certain players. When he took the job he would have known we were selling Nichols and didnt want to risk him but then found out he would not be allowed to pick 3 other senior pros (Craig, Francomb and Hessenthaler) due to discoveries made during the investigations into Yems. Then, repotedly, was told he had to pick other players as their stats were better.

Basically, someone else was picking the team but he would be getting the blame.

How many managers have Swindon had this season ? I think its time you should be looking at whose picking the manager in the first place.

Just 2. Scott Lindsey, who I think Garner wanted to take to Charlton. We appointed him after a fair amount of faffing about, and then after Crawley 'nicked' him, we did yet more faffing about and appointed Jody Morris with 1 day of a transfer window remaining.

There are definitely questions that have been raised about the football operations side, many fans are hopeful that our chairman will be looking to rectify this sooner rather than later.

I’d be very surprised if Schofield isn’t sacked after the last game of the season

I see Darrel Clarke has been sacked by Port Vale. I would like to think we would throw all other names out the window and try get him in.

One of the most idiotic acts this club has done. If you were to get him then it would be a hell of an appointment. My guess would be Mansfield would have first dibs on him with that connection and wish him nothing but the best. That would be if he is intent on taking a job any time soon as it’s only about 14 months since he experienced something you’d never wish on your worst enemy.

Stupid decision, Have all the time in the world for DC.
He,s a honest man, Something that can be difficult to find in football.
May backfire bigtime, Or may not.

While I’m baffled as to events at Vale, Clarke doesn’t fit the profile of grow your own player boss that Palios is after. I’m sure he’ll find another job when he’s ready a good manager.

Very much expected, didnt realise how much of an appalling run Walsall had been on until one of their fans posted it here the other day, couldnt really survive that level of ineptness.

What are the odds on a DC return now

Seriously it’s another good manager at Walsall that can’t seem to get you going for whatever reason. Be interesting where they go next.
I would

Personally i would most of our fans hate him though the favourite seems to be Karl Robinson early on

Gab Sutton feels he would be a good fit for us whats your thoughts mate?

How long have you got?

In all seriousness he's a great bloke. He was a good servant in his short spell as a player with us and he's the only person to captain us and manage us to a promotion. The football we played in the 12 months up to COVID was some of the best I've ever seen a Crewe side play and he built an excellent squad, developing excellent talent in the process and helping us find our identity back after some horrible years under Steve Davis.

It all went tits up though when we sold half the squad for peanuts (not necessarily his fault) and he replaced them with an awful Summer of recruitment that led to every signing we made then (and I think it was at least 10) bar Chris Long being shown the door by May. He fell out with players (interestingly one he had a massive fallout with was your captain, Donervon Daniels), started playing 90% of the squad at wing back throughout the season and, by the time he was sacked after a run of 15 losses in 16 games and his ego was causing major unrest behind the scenes. He had to go and I was very vocal in wanting him to be sacked, but it doesn't change the fact that I still appreciate everything he ever did for us.

Would he be a good appointment for Walsall? If you give him time and some backing, yes he will. But it took him 2 years to really settle in at Crewe and get us playing excellent football. Time he wouldn't have got at other clubs. I wish him nothing but the best in his next job. Like I said, he had to leave us, but I'll always wish him well and welcome him back to Gresty Road as a manager of the opposition in the future.

I think if you appointed him though, Donervon Daniels would be straight out of the door!
